Shall we "skip work" today?
Blue in its best sense! Blue bottle included!
It's hard to explain what this wonderful color has in common with a woody-smoky scent, but it's definitely worth a writing attempt.
First of all, I perceive a strong grapefruit. In the most beautiful, slightly bittersweet yellow-orange.
It can't be HER. But quickly, more pleasant aromas follow. There's already the fruity-peppery note that sneaks in. Blue? With a lot of imagination!
And the many other spices like cardamom, coriander, a bit of nutmeg, etc. --- Blue? Probably not! More of a light greenish light brown. Then there's amber, cedar, and frankincense. Aha! Good... blue-tinted by the fresh-dry cedar wood, whose tree shows its needles in a light gray-blue.
Still probably not a deep, rich blue. At least not from the scent of the individual components.
Yet, in their entirety, they create this deep color that reminds one of an endless night sky or a lake with unfathomable depths. A slight melancholy (English: "to be blue")
and an expanse that comes with a slight smokiness and fine veils of mist. The vastness of the awakening forest, bathed in mysterious blue light just before sunrise.
This blue emerges slowly. And lingers for a long time, where you wouldn't expect it at all :-))
