Simple Garden — Easy, Breezy, Beautiful
Notes unseen, I'm presented with the idea of a garden in someone's front yard at 11am. It's bright with the warmth of the sun, but not hot. There's greenery that's not necessarily wild, but not too manicured either. Just pleasantly overgrown and bushy. It's the idea of cutting a handful of herbs and giving them a rinse of cold water at the kitchen sink. It's domestic, uplifting, and optimistic.
Looking to the notes, I'm shocked by the simplicity of the notes: citrus, sage, and cedar. Smelling it a little more closely now, it's the lime that takes centerstage. Who know lime had so much depth and complexity? I don't typically care for citrus notes or "freshies", and I wouldn't consider this a freshie either. This is one of those scents that feels more than the sum of it's parts.
