Light, Airy, Sparkling, As It Should Be

White tea is made from the same plant as black, green, and oolong teas, but the leaves are treated slightly differently. Unlike other tea varieties, they harvest the youngest growth on the tea bush for white teas before the leaves have opened. They are then dried immediately to prevent them from oxidizing. The amount of oxidation separates the different types of tea; White tea is the least oxidized, and green tea, oolong, and black tea are left to oxidize completely, giving the leaves their characteristic black color.

Light, airy, sparkling, as it should be. It is a fragrance that is suitable for people who dislike strong scents. Or do not tolerate beast cologne. White Tea to my nose has three dominant notes: tea leaves, white jasmine flowers, and the whiteness of white musk. Citrus could be identified, but it needs to become firm. It reveals itself with all its delicacy, composed of a light and unmistakable citrus scent of citrus flanked by the herbaceous and greenish notes of white tea, representing this fragrance's fulcrum. It's a pleasant sensation, like a steaming cup of tea on a spring morning with a blue sky, a few faint clouds, and a fresh breeze. White tea is very different from green tea; it is more floral, less crisp, and almost devoid of that lemony facet.

Jasmine is amplified, flowery, fresh, and dewy in the heart. On my terrace, I have a jasmine hedge that flowers during late May and early June and fills the air with sweet and intoxicating scents on breezy and cool evenings. In this central part, the white tea abandons its leafy part to approach the more floral part of the camellia, the plant that produces tea leaves.

White Tea almost immediately mingles with a soft woody note during the dry-down, lending the fragrance a slightly sweet edge. Not the typical, intensely pungent type of wood, but think more like a light cedar and santal wood blend. The muskiness is nice and subtle and only enhances this brilliant formula. The evolution is generally quite linear, apart from the three accords I mentioned at the beginning, namely citrus, floral, and musky woody.

White Tea is a light, fresh musk that blends with the other notes in a light effect rather than its usual fuzzy-dusty texture. The result is simple, almost like a lovely soap, but in style! Despite its transparent and airy character, White Tea has a sense of depth and complexity, which prevents it from smelling dull, and a smoothness that prevents it from having a solid impression of shampoo or soap. The sillage is very soft, which fits perfectly with the aura of the perfume itself. Spring-summer, warm weather, casual-chic, stay at home & relax vibes. It is light and serene, calming, pleasant and grounded, and very neutral, but with a touch of complexity in its watercolor-like scent. Fresh out of the shower, a pure fragrance made gently and refinedly! Don't expect to be a bomb. It barely has a leather scent and lasts for a few hours. It has a clean and light smell. It is perfect for casual wear, office, leisure, and the weekend after a stressful week, day and night. It is a great perfume to wear for both men and women.

I'm basing my thoughts on a bottle I have owned since May 2023.
