Danse Macabre - Fur like a specimen
The imagery in my mind is related to the artistic theme of "Danse Macabre," which was popular during the Dark Ages of the medieval period—a time marked by war, famine, and disease.
Skulls, whether playing the violin or holding drumsticks, dance with the living by the graveside.
The overall tone is an orange-brown hue, featuring dry, fruit-dried, spicy, and resinous warm notes. It’s unclear whether this was intentional or a happy accident, but the specimen-like fur quality adds a touch of brilliance to this theme.
Upon first spray, there’s a sweet apricot and tangy citrus scent, with the powdery quality of the apricot smoothly transitioning into a similarly powdery incense and resinous spice aroma.
After 1 minute, the animalic note is most prominent, with a slight sour and decayed feeling; but this quickly settles into a dry, specimen-like fur scent.
After 5 minutes, the fruity sweetness persists, with rose notes buried underneath, enhancing the fruitiness; the olive resin’s citrus-spicy aspect gives the fragrance a lemon-like freshness and spiciness.
At 15 minutes, there’s a subtle alcohol-like scent reminiscent of orange liqueur, robust yet smooth, with tannic astringency and a sour bread-like acidity.
The fruitiness shifts to a dried fruit sweetness, akin to a drink with hints of orange peel and apricot dried fruit; there’s also a faint effervescent quality similar to lemon fizz tablets.
After 60 minutes, the dried fruit scent gradually fades, giving way to a dry, intense spiciness—pepper, cumin, and cinnamon leaf—with a slight smokiness from the resin, adding richness to the layers. The animalic scent can still occasionally be detected, as if it’s lurking behind, observing you.
After 2 hours, there’s a waxy feeling, but the warm, resinous notes continue to spread on the skin.

Scent 7.5/10 (Fragrance may vary based on personal preferences and experiences)
Longevity 5.5/10
Sillage 6/10
