Mysterium Paris Corner 2025

Mysterium is exactly what the name promises: a fragrance full of mysteries - only here you don’t have to ponder long about why it smells so damn good! If you know the Tony Iommi Monkey Special by Xerjoff (and perhaps were disappointed), you should take a close sniff of this one.

Because yes - Mysterium is very similar to the Xerjoff hit, but it simply does more with it: The fruity opening with passion fruit and cinnamon hits you right away, without going overboard. Then it continues with a slightly dark heart of rose, leather, and incense, reminiscent of a nighttime stroll through a mystical orchard - but in a cool way. And the base with patchouli, labdanum, and sandalwood rounds it off with a creamy, slightly smoky warmth.

In direct comparison, the Xerjoff Monkey Special seems almost a bit musty - as if it had a bad day or had been lying in the sun too long. Mysterium, on the other hand, remains fruity leathery, dirty, and balanced.

It simply has that “wow effect” that you would expect from a more expensive niche fragrance.

Longevity? Top. Sillage? Presence without being intrusive. Price-performance? Clearly a hidden gem!

If you like Tony Iommi but don’t want the overripe patchouli and the Xerjoff price, this is the one to go for. Mysterium is not just an alternative, but a real improvement.
