A Walk through our Natural History
What is places upon us on this earth is our will to carry on, humans carry on in history, animals carry on to survive, plants carry on to keep living, and this is the scent of carrying on, a scent that represents us carrying on through our natural history, hence the name! What we all strive for is to strive on, and this scent keeps striving on to survive, for what it is we can see all of our history shinned in to through a fragrance. Darker times and lighter times are all showed to be a part of our history, and this scent represents that, i will keep the theme of carrying on throughout the review to really show what this scent represent. Now Weston Adam is as you may know an Orthodox Christian and i seem to find that reflected in his scents in a way that many may not see, many of his scents have resins, deep resinous notes that hold up to its scent span, and thats a really nice touch from Weston. So what is his art? His art is both shinned through from history and faith, as ive talked to him before i can tell he is a nice person, a man of morals and faith. I could connect on a level with him since we share the same faith and that really gives and insight of where his art comes from. He is methodical in his ways and his scents are really deep in all they are for, but for now we have rabled enough, lets get into the scent.
This scents builds upon softness in the rough, from what it shows in softness it deals with in roughness. From the start off this scent you get a soft floral scent, a lot of florals are being held up within, these florals are laying softly on a base, a base on woods and resins, a show of what this scent is. This floral is yellow, its white and its red. Let you paint this floral paintings in a bowl, a bowl made of woods and the resins are poured over. The resins give a waxy amber effect upon the softness of these florals, a scent that allures the historical idea of carrying on within you, and yet the scent keeps carrying on, the florals all carry on, the wax keeps carrying on, a from all i know the scent keeps being from what it wasnt, a scent that builds on history and faith, a scent that represents Weston Adams.
When the scent develops into something darker, the waxy amber is more of a waxy animalic by now, a rich and dark castoreum is now being showed to all of us, the resins that we all build upon withing the scent is now showed everywhere, the softness is ripped from us, our historical worth is ripped from within, and we are left with a byproduct of failed faith and destroyed history. An oudy base, a base with resins and a base built on musk. Thats what this scent is, its dark in the day of softness, its oudy, resinous, woody and dark, but its also floral, bright and musky. Weston shows this perfectly in his deep rich art of perfuming.
Now when i imagine this being the scent of carrying on, this shows the art of carrying on in history, and most importantly, the waxy plasticy amber carries on all the way to the bottom, a perfect scent to represent what the failed natural history of sin and hatred really is, and thats what Weston Adams does great.
Id say the scent is beautiful, in short its floral and musky with a waxy resinous woody base, an amazing scent with depth and charachter, im very pleased with this!
