A happy ending with bridal flowers
It was a good idea to buy new samples of the "Roméa d'Amór" frangrances. Because when I tested for instance "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" several times in the past it smelled each time different.
One time which I noticed it smelled only acrical, citrical and like any fruit-mixture. It was each time a plain scent.
Well, now it is as well not a very diversely scent - the first time of the long developement. But now the fruits are hardly to perceive at the beginnig. Very fast I was smelling jasmine and as I now see in the pyramide: Champaca flower, a special magnolia which has an impressing blossom scent similar to jasmine.
I leave now my perception from the former tests. I only mention that in order to give the advice to pay attention in case of this perfumes to be aware of new and fresh samples or even a flasc and not a decant with unknown age etc.
The Jasmine-champaca mixture is tangy, slightly spiced, with green notes. And then the fruits are appearing but very soft.
The longevity is very good though "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is again a restrained and very light perfume. The sillage is hardly to describe because there is a sillage but anyhow indirect. All around me is smelling of "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" and in a wonderful flowermixture. But close to my skin over some hours I'm only smelling a more pungent scent of jasmine and champaca. But around me "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is unfolding like a fan all listed ingredients and I can even smell the fine green mastix, which is listed as pistachio together with the creamyness of santal.
A long time "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is a tangy scent and is seeming to be just plain. But it was becoming more and more a complex dainty flower perfume. Basically "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is a wonderful fragrance. But one have to cope with a more imperceptible and tender scenting perfume.
I cannot deny that "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is a noble perfume and not at al a boomer. And of course for my opion "Les Princesses de Venise / The Princesses of Venice" is a feminine perfume for ladies of every age.

Sparkling & fine
Here comes a classic case of "I had a completely different idea while reading".

After Les Souveraines d'Égypte was a hit, I wanted to get to know more strong female representations from different cultures - I wanted to test more Roméa d'Améor fragrances. And I chose the Venetian princesses. The comments from DeGe and Chrisantiss captivated me, along with the fragrance notes - ordered a sample, sprayed it on.

I am surprised: I had imagined the scent to be more pastel, rosy, powdery. Sweeter, more lovely, gentler. Instead, I am immediately met with juicy-sour fruity notes in vibrant purple-pink. Delicious. But also puzzling. A strong opening that I did not expect at all. I immediately think of Gucci Eau de Parfum II, as there is a great similarity. Everything is very clear, very fruity, with no trace of pastel powder.

Once the top note has faded, it continues cheerfully, now more flowers come into play. Most notably, I smell: lily of the valley. And I am surprised again. Lily of the valley does not appear in the fragrance notes at all. But the scent gets this very *cough* dry, somewhat green-herbaceous twist. At this stage, I like it less. Thoughts arise about whether I might have a wrong sample... (I think of Hermis' comment on another Roméa d'Améor "That hussy smells like lily of the valley" - although the Venetian princesses eventually come down from the lily of the valley trip). Many flowers remain, it stays very bright, very fresh, very clear, rather sour. And I recognize another great scent: Dior Forever and Ever. From the heart note on my skin, it's practically a scent twin. Since I really, really like the Dior, this perfume can also enchant me. And just like the Dior, Les Princesses de Venise smells very fine, very high-quality, very noble. The base does not become particularly warm, (iris-) powdery or soft for me. It remains very floral, but becomes gentler.

This is a radiant, literally carefree, noble, and delicious first-fruit-then-flower scent that never becomes sweet or squeaky, but retains its finely sour fresh note until the end.

Princess in Pastel
Here we mean a princess à la Audrey Hepburn in "Roman Holiday," a little weary, a little exuberant, a little sad, not the silly American version of a princess in "The Princess Diaries" or whatever the movie is called.

The scent is veeeery delicate, despite the fruit cocktail in the top note. It refreshes at the beginning, suggesting sunny days in a wonderful Italian city. The choice is left to the discerning wearer; here, personal preferences, whether Rome, Venice, or Florence, are entirely up to the imagination. The streets are hot, the princess is bored and seeking diversion.

The story remains fresh, slowly developing in a substantial direction. Jasmine and clove waft by, bringing a touch of seriousness. Audrey in the film sets off, gets her hair cut, eats ice cream, rides a Vespa, has fun with her secret love. So carefree, the sun still shines and everything is easy.
Slowly, evening approaches, the seriousness of life, a challenge for every princess. Should she, should she not, accompany the handsome man, her first love, or fulfill her duties?
It unfolds as it must in a melodrama: duty prevails. The beautiful princess in state attire stands before the assembled crowd, answering questions politely and decorously with stereotypes, looking sad. And although she sees her hero once more among the masses, she remains loyal to the state. Oh, how lovely....

The scent has now developed a gentle, noble (if one can say that about a fragrance) warmth. The carefree and fruity initial exuberance has given way to a mature, wonderfully balsamic base. A beautiful development that lasts well. It is very pleasant that neither musk nor amber have been used here. Thus, the scent remains almost innocently delicate, the iris does not completely subordinate itself to the sandalwood; both create a harmony that is complemented by the subtly nutty pistachio. Now that's a lovely rounded base.

Harmonious and Noble
I really can't add anything to DeGe's comment. She described it wonderfully.

Les Princesses de Venise is a great fragrance that continues to evolve all the way to the base and only gets more beautiful.

The lovely fruity opening transitions to a wonderfully floral heart note, without completely suppressing the fruitiness.
But here, floral-fruity does not become an everyday scent.
It becomes extraordinarily noble and expensive. Yes, it smells expensive and it suits a princess.
I am amazed at how well the iris fits in here. It does not dominate, but makes the fragrance delicately powdery.

Towards the base, it becomes darker with a soft creaminess, but the gentle fruitiness remains intact. Here, the pistachio comes in and rounds off the scent with a slight nuttiness.
I am not a fan of fruity fragrances, but I would make an exception here.

Audience with the Raspberry Princesses
Les Princesses de Venise has a rather intense top note..
Attached to my sample is a card with the sentence ... "This positive perfume will fill you with laughter in moments to be shared with others." But shortly after applying "Les Princesses...", I want to be completely alone for a while. The princesses greet you with a hefty dose of indolic jasmine that smells quite fecal. "This could be interesting," I think to myself, but fortunately, this unpleasant impression fades over time. From the very beginning, a raspberry note is present, and although I have a strong aversion to raspberry in fragrances, I actually like it here!

Once the jasmine calms down, the personality of "Les Princesses..." changes 180 degrees. Initially, it is loud, animalistic, and somewhat old-fashioned, but after a few minutes, the scent becomes sparkling, fruity-fresh, and summery. The floral components initially almost overwhelm you with their density, but "Les Princesses de Venise" develops into a truly transparent fruit cocktail.

While the raspberry is immediately identifiable at the beginning, it gradually blends better with the flowers and the other fruits. Actually, I don't want to dissect the scent too much.. With a lot of effort, I can even perceive the pistachio (or at least I think I do), but listing everything individually does not do it justice. All in all, this is a playful, refreshing summer fragrance that doesn't hit you with a punch of fructose.

"Young vivacious women, sparkle with happiness!"... and there isn't really much more to say. ;)

Very unpleasant opening with overripe fruits. Only becomes bearable late on with some spices. Overall very artificial and not impressive.

Once you get past the fresh fruity note, a champaca-dominated floral accord comes through. But it's a bit too sweet for my taste.

The opening is so delicate that I can barely smell the fruits
Similar to champaca ylang
Creamy-soapy
Lasts about 4 to 5 hours
But very subtle

Lightly indolic jasmine floats over a blend of sweet fruits
With a note of stale flower water and stems developing over time.

The opening is a no-go for me, then floral, delicate, and somehow minty fresh. The base is powdery and subtly creamy. Beautiful + elegant.
