Excursion to the Medieval Market
Right off the bat: I totally understand the association with a medieval market that has been mentioned several times here! Right after spraying, I felt transported back to our family outings to the medieval market in a castle park near our area:
Clearly perceptible lavender and the incense that is aptly described in the fragrance notes accompany me throughout the entire scent journey. At the beginning, a slightly fruity note complements it. Probably the ginger, which I can very well imagine as candied ginger at a stand at the market. Whether that is historically accurate, I dare to doubt, but somehow it fits into the scene for me anyway. :)
A light boozy note also appears quite quickly. Even though rum is listed here, the slightly sweet alcoholic note reminds me of a stand where my father drinks a cup of honey mead.
In the drydown, the fragrance becomes softer and amber-sweet with a lovely vanilla note. Really good!
There is really a lot going on with this scent! Nevertheless, I must say, since it doesn't project extremely, I never find it intrusive. It is more of a subtle and changing companion. Noticeable, but not overwhelming.
Still, I find the fragrance direction special and wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a daily wear. But if you're in the mood to be taken on an excursion to the medieval market by a scent, I can warmly recommend giving it a try!
