Damp, rough sea mist
You can also dream of the sea when you can smell it. When there's a slightly salty breeze in the air and the spray that breaks on the chalk cliffs atomizes into a delicate mist. When driftwood bobs in a bay and emits rough maritime odors.
Beach pines grow near the coast. And the odd mandarin or lemon tree. Resins and aromas mix with "sea air". Dry sands with moist vapors. Iris makes it even more interesting when it opens its violet and blue flowers in damp places with a dry, powdery scent. Then rough and delicate, moist and dry, sweet and tart, salty and aromatic, sea-coast and sky come together.
You don't necessarily need to linger on the beach or on a rock by the sea to perceive beautiful images. Just take a sniff every now and then when "Imperial Musk" is in the air. Two short sprays of it are enough to transport you into the damp, rough sea mist and warm you up later in the mild sun. With a "sea view" and coast and beach with all the trimmings ;-))
