A Wild Ride Through the Night
Electri is the second fragrance I am trying from the house of Vapormundum. Once again, it was a blind buy out of curiosity.
What makes Electri special is the fact that it can be enhanced with 2 additional accords (sparkling Champagne and burnt incense). This means that I can give the existing scent an individual expression, depending on the moment, occasion, or mood. One could call this approach layering in perfection.
I am still quite new in these areas of the perfume world and cannot say whether Joschka Klee, the mind behind the fragrances, had a new idea here or if this is an "old hat." For me, however, it is absolute new territory. Please feel free to let me know in the comments what there is to say about it.
The presentation, packaging, and display are impeccable. So let's quickly move on to the scent itself.
Immediately after spraying, I sense peppery spice notes, which are then quickly overshadowed by patchouli and (for me, somewhat too prominent) labdanum. The first time, this was the moment that made me doubt whether this blind buy was a wise decision.
And while I am still pondering this (as doubts arise again), something rough and smoky breaks out from the center of these aromas and wraps itself like a dark wool coat over all the scents. Warm, dark - and a bit scratchy it is, this incense coat, but I like it a lot.
Thank goodness, I must say, because this status remains for quite some time.
It is true, I feel transported back to my youth when we turned the night into day in smoky rock clubs. And just like in those days - there is no champagne for me here either. Electri remains dark and smoky - and I enjoy it every second now.
And then, slowly I notice how the rough elements give way to a discreet sweetness. In the rock club, it seems the doors have been opened, because the smoke is dissipating more and more, and I perceive the old, worn wooden floor. I can sense gentle sandalwood notes while the incense gradually drifts out of the windows and disappears into the night sky. Whether the slight sweetness is vanilla, I cannot say for sure - but I do perceive it.
Electri is definitely a wild ride through the darkness - and it has, alongside many highs, a few (smaller) lows, but it fits so perfectly into my current scent preferences that it captivates me.
But now a simple question arises: And the two accords?
And now it gets exciting.
Sparkling Champagne brings exactly what its name suggests. There are sparkling, bright notes, slightly bitter. - Just as if ice-cold drinks were being served in the rock club. A successful experience on its own.
In combination with the base perfume, something new emerges.
The rock club now becomes more of a club, with more light shows, harder beats, cooler cocktails - but also less warmth, less soul(?). It is a balancing act to get the "right" mixing ratio - but it is an exciting game. So many variations and options are possible, so many decisions must be made: which part comes first? How do I dose each part? How simultaneously or delayed do I use the scent and the accord?
The consumer becomes an active part of the scent, of Joschka's creation. Very, very exciting.
And then there's "Burnt Incense."
This accord is less dark than I would have expected. Pure incense, certainly. Something clicks in my head, and I search for the association, finding it quickly. I once attended a mass at Notre Dame de Paris - and I find this incense again after a few minutes. Clear, distinct, perfect.
With this accord, the creative possibilities multiply - and somewhat overwhelm me at the moment. - I must definitely admit that.
What can I conclude?
Electri is definitely a challenging fragrance, and I can understand anyone who says "no thanks." But it captivates me, here and now. Electri does not come smart and elegant, trying to please everyone. Electri is more of the bad boy that you have to approach cautiously.
I think it's great and just wish the accords had been delivered a bit more generously. 8ml is a bit too limited for me. So Joschka, if you read this, Dominik here. ;)
Test Electri - it’s worth it!

The Three Wise Men
The Three Wise Men bring champagne, incense, and sandalwood. Electri is a sensual composition that blew me away immediately when I first tested it at an exhibition in Vilnius. Of course, the purchase at the brand's launch was inevitable.

The sparkling freshness of the champagne opens the fragrance, which is then carried by warm, earthy notes. Vanilla and incense add depth and mystique, while fine citrus notes provide refreshment and a kind of balance. A scent full of elegance and sophistication, perfect for moments of relaxation and special occasions.
Also exciting is the concept of the fragrance accords. The fragrance comes with two layering accords in high-quality travel atomizers, with the champagne touch giving the scent an extra level of sparkle. Incredibly good!

Longevity on my skin is about 12 hours, well noticeable. Sillage is strong at first, later more intimate.
I am curious to see how the brand develops in the future!

A Winter Evening at the Vienna State Opera
It can't be described any other way.

Electri transports you to a very special, noble, and unique world.

Imagine you are going to the Vienna State Opera on a snowy winter evening with some friends to see a performance of Mozart's Requiem.
You enter, hand over your coats and jackets at the cloakroom, and find yourself in the foyer.
There is an alcoholic, perfumed scent in the air and then she arrives:
The friendly server who offers you a glass of champagne. You don't hesitate, clink glasses, and drink the cold champagne.
You enjoy it so much that you ask for the name and plan to buy it for yourself.
That. Is. Electri.

At first, an unassuming fragrance, which with its down-to-earth appearance does not give the impression of such a scent journey.
Covered in nobility and elegance, with a performance that carries you effortlessly through the entire Requiem and beyond.

A fragrance for grand evenings, which sets the scene beautifully.

Wow! I Like It!
Electri is a pleasantly spicy, smoky fragrance that comes across as totally serious yet mystical.
Somehow, this scent has something special, something mysterious, something attractive. I like it!

The fragrance has a noticeable incense accord, a slightly earthy and wonderful patchouli note, and various spices.
Additionally, there is this super beautiful labdanum. In my opinion, labdanum is a fantastic fragrance note that is still totally underestimated.
Although it is gaining more appreciation nowadays and not just always oud.

The labdanum finds the perfect harmony here with the spicy, smoky impression. It adds a slightly sweet, resinous touch to the fragrance, and the whole combination makes it slightly "mystical".

Interestingly, I only start to perceive slightly citrusy elements over time, which also complement the fragrance well.
Usually, the citrus notes are more noticeable at the beginning, but here, in my impression, it’s different. I like it!
As soon as the fragrance settles and dries down, I can detect the vanilla.

I definitely see Electri as a unisex fragrance, and the German brand Vapormundun, which was completely unknown to me until now, has done a great job.

Electri my favorite scent!
I acquired Electri a year ago and it is my most long-lasting fragrance, it lasts all day!

A distinctive dark scent that lingers for days. I sprayed it on my scarf and two weeks later I could still perceive it. A dark, smoky fragrance, perfect for making a statement and being perceived as unique. In the first week of wearing it, I received several compliments.

A clear recommendation from me!

This one is just my style. I don’t have champagne, and the brief citrus moment in the top note is negligible for me.

Beautiful balance of rich incense and a decent amount of patchouli with moderate, yet spicy sweetness in the base.

A beautiful scent experience. Dust-dry, smoky wood blends with sweet resins and earth into a balsamic spice.

Spice bazaar soaked in champagne, we set up incense to drive away the alcohol fumes. It works! Dark and mystical.

Great incense scent, with spices, labdanum, and patchouli harmonizing, I don't perceive any champagne note.

Opens an old wooden cabinet filled with spices.
Sandalwood is definitely in focus, warm spicy resins, powdery vanilla. A bit too linear for me.
