Lady of Mess
This is hard to explain but I am going to try. This is like a big ballroom dance floor and all the notes are dancing to the orchestra but they are all on different keys. Its like the fruit wants to have more room on the dance floor but the spice and floral are just overwhelming it, so fruit keeps bumping into them. Its feels like a disjointed fragrance where there isn't a smooth transition or blend that I can detect. This fragrance opens with pops of citrus but that quickly fades into a warm blend of spice and floral with apple struggling in the background. It does mellow out a cider like scent but it isn't cider, or at least it won't fully commit to being cider. The dry down is an odd sugar scent, its almost metallic in the way some sugar cubes smell. Its definitely leaning towards being an autumn scent but it just doesn't work for me.
The fragrance is inspired by the painting, The Lady Of Shallot by John William Waterhouse in 1888. Its what you see on the bottle's label.
This fragrance has really good projection, it creates a solid scent bubble around you. The fragrance did last about 6 hours on my skin. It only comes in one size, 100ml for $45. This is a great price and this brand is known for its affordability. These are alcohol free fragrances so I do believe you are supposed to mix or shake the bottle before spraying.
