Amazing and completely new to me

As usual, the black range of the Gucci Alchemist Garden Collection has a proud bottle price of 345 euros. However, I have to say that this fragrance is completely new to me and totally unique. The fragrance was released in January 2025 and has been sold out almost continuously since then. The vanilla is strong and not artificial. There is also a great smoky note which makes the fragrance accessible to both men and women. I wouldn't describe it as feminine or masculine. A perfect hybrid in my eyes.

I think there was more potential here

Vanilla Firenze is basically a solid fragrance.
Nevertheless, it could have been even better in my opinion.
There was more potential here.
The basic idea of combining a rather tart and dry, but still somewhere sweet vanilla with a pleasant smoky myrrh character is a good one. But somehow it seems a bit unrounded to me in parts.

The fragrance starts with this rather dry, yet slightly sweet vanilla. This slightly smoky note can already be sensed in the background. There is also this very subtle floral character. I had actually guessed some kind of iris. But then I saw iris in the notes.

After not too long, the myrrh accord becomes a little more intense. I also have the feeling that I somehow smell a little saffron. I can also recognize soft woods in the background. The vanilla is also still there, but now noticeably less sweet and simply a step drier.
This is exactly how it lingers for my nose until the end.

The fragrance is super unisex wearable and has a performance that is quite appealing in my eyes. It lasts around eight hours on my skin, which I am very happy with. It should be noted, however, that the sillage is somewhat milder. Initially, the fragrance projects quite well, but then gradually becomes noticeably closer to the skin.
