Too Good to Be True or Hamburg's Gloomy Weather
Harvestehude, Außenalster, Hamburg. It’s dry. The wind blows gustily from Lauenburg and rustles in the trees. Dry leaves swirl around me. Sweaty joggers pass by or overtake me. Elegantly dressed ladies and gentlemen in business suits or nice attire, with coffee-to-go and phones to their ears, walk past me. I’m wearing jeans, a simple shirt, and my jacket is open. Why not, it’s 17 degrees and the end of October. Not Hamburg’s dreary weather, but a beautiful autumn atmosphere. I’ve applied Black Intense and the scent fits wonderfully in this moment. It’s fresh, spicy, slightly resinous, a bit green, and seasoned with a lot of light wood. Perfect for this moment - like the first few meters of a jogger or the first sip from a thermos cup of fresh coffee. I feel good!

Does anyone notice me?

But after 20 minutes, everything changes, the sky becomes overcast. The wind gets rougher and the first raindrops fall to the ground. Temperature drop. Collars are turned up and steps quicken. That’s it for the leisurely walk, back to the car quickly. What started so beautifully ends up rainy, blown away, soaked - unfortunately just a brief happiness.

Couldn’t it have stayed nice longer? Why does the moment dissipate and everything hide away? What began so hopefully ends with cold feet and a desire for a bit more sustainability.

I drive home and no one noticed me. What a shame, everything started so beautifully!

Royal Oud (at the beginning) meets Spicebomb (at the end), of course not as high quality. H/S is rather weak. For the price, you can't go wrong!

Definitely a successful and affordable alternative to Creed's Royal Oud. The Lomani is a bit spicier and not quite as mild.
