This is what Bullerbü smells like by the Mediterranean - Childhood dream in a bottle
This perfume was a stroke of luck in my Advent calendar. Naturally, it doesn't fit the Advent season at all by name. For me, it is the scent of late summer, which occasionally drives away the winter.
I smell long hot days, sweet fruits, and relaxed sitting outside while children play around. The sun disappears behind the fruit trees and the temperatures drop into pleasant realms. This is how Bullerbü would smell if it were located in Southern Europe.
It reminds me of the first stanza of the poem "Summer" by Ilse Kleberger, if you exclude the day at the beach and the sunscreen:
Do you know how summer smells?
Of pears and cloves,
of apples and forget-me-nots,
that wither in the sun,
of hot sand and cool lake
and wet swimsuits,
of water polo and sunscreen,
of street dust and roses.
For me, the scent has little progression. At the beginning, the citrus is particularly strong. I don't really pick out the nectarine here, but rather a sour apple. This is particularly well balanced by the rose. The drydown seems rather short to me, while the dynamics of the scent remain intact. It never slips into the warmth of the base note.
All in all, a pleasant, stable fragrance that combines freshness and floral notes.
