Hot Cakes Snif 2025

good god this scent is cloying. notes listed of maple syrup, melted butter, berry, buttermilk, "pancake accord", and sweet musk. it is violently sweet, full of sugar and maple, with a toasty freshly made pancake scent buried beneath all that sugar. it nails exactly what it aims to hit, but somehow the sweetness is dialed even higher. the epitome of a gourmand fragrance, identical to a cheap "vanilla latte" candle.
this perfume would give you ants. something about it leaves a burn in the back of my throat.

I love a lot of Snif's fragrances but this is the only one I've pulled the trigger on. I bought it the second I smelled it in Ulta.

I felt bad for sampling it in the store because this fragrance is very loud at first spray. It kicks down the door. This is a GOURMAND gourmand. If you do not want to smell like food, you will not like this.

Yes, it is very cloyingly sweet at first spray. Yes, it the maple syrup note comes off a bit synthetic. Those aren't deal-breakers for me.

It has that yeasty bread accord that you can smell in Crumb Couture and Slice Society which I love along with a salty butter note that I really like. I like sweet gourmands but I tend not to reach for them unless there is something salty, woody, or buttery about them. That's why I like this so much, I think. Don't get me wrong. This is very sweet! It's just got other stuff going on, too.

Like most Snif fragrances, this doesn't have great longevity or projection and the drydown is fairly linear.

Smells like a muskier version of Crumb Couture with syrup. Starts off very yeasty, then it (very quickly) fades, until you just feel vaguely sticky. A woodiness also come out, which I'm not a fan of. I don’t even mind the stickiness that much, it just doesn’t feel as well made as Crumb Couture, and I wish I had more of the buttery pancake feel. Definitely try it out before committing to a whole bottle.

the realism with this one actually knocked my socks off! its syrupy for sure, but not just that, the perfectly cooked pancakes add an extra tasty dimension. not the longest lasting, but I love it too much to care. after a while it fades into a nice maple-y scent. definitely my favorite from snif so far.

While I liked this in the store.. after wearing it numerous times it started to make me a bit sick. The maple smell was just too much after awhile and this stays on you for eternity. I decided to layer it as a maple accent to other scents and that seemed to tone it down. One spray is more than enough.
