Fizzy and sweet
The Lollipop Bling series just got sweeter with the arrival of Ribbon, reminding oneself of fizzy candies and fruity popsicles.

I'm writing this review as I'm experiencing a sugar rush myself after having drunk perhaps too much Pepsi and consumed a chocolate coated icecream. Seeing that sugar is very much a part of my day today, Ribbon doesn't smell all that bad.

I can smell the candied raspberry and fresh cucumber notes in the opening, but I find watermelon to be the most dominant ingredient in Ribbon. It has a very distinctive watermelon gelati and sherbet bomb smell to it. I like it, but I feel like a silly little girl wearing it.

Sugary sweet is not really my thing, every now and then I'll stumble upon a sweet scent and give it a fair go and sometimes I'll enjoy it. Ribbon is one of those one off fragrances. I like it for a split second of wearing it but I think I'd tire of it easily, I will readily admit however that it is really nice on the skin.

The longevity is relatively average, and the sillage is about the same. The scent is also fairly linear unfortunately.

Very helpful Review 6
Come with me to Rainbow Land!
After applying Ribbon, I immediately feel like I'm five again. Regina Rainbow, My Little Pony, Barbie's Dreamhouse, and the Cherry Merry Muffins are generously spread across our lawn, the early summer sun paints golden circles on the pink play mat, and little Stella is in seventh girl-play heaven.
This fragrance combines childhood memories with Disney romance and scent notes in Technicolor pastel shades. And every now and then, I really enjoy something like this!
"Ribbon" is just a tiny bit artificial - and that's very pleasant. Finally, a star fragrance that perfectly captures the wholesome fluffy dreamland theme without slipping into overly creamy cake territory.

The top note comes across really fluffy, just as mentioned above. That's exactly how I imagine honeydew. Maya the Bee says hello and waves to me laughing from a raspberry bush. The cucumber also comes across nicely appetizing and fresh. It smells spring-like and sweet but not synthetic.

The only downside to this pink cotton candy magic: After half an hour, it does tip a bit into the typical shampoo-like territory. But at least it's delicious high-end shampoo and nothing that forces screaming children to wash their hair. The base cuddles softly and flowery until the dream of a perfect world is over again after three hours.

Conclusion: A really nice alternative to the usual celebrity junk! Mariah Carey knows how to set herself apart from Christina, Britney & Co. and doesn’t try too hard to be sexy. I like it!
Many thanks to FranFran20 for the sample :)

For the little princess...
I simply ordered this perfume along with "Honey" from the same line. The color of the bottle caught my eye, and I love the scent of melon anyway. Plus, the giant bottle was ridiculously cheap.
Well... it's not an absolute mistake of a purchase, but I'm not really thrilled either. I smell a fruity sweetness that seems quite artificial. Melon? I can't detect it! When it comes to melon, "Sunflowers" by E. Arden will remain my absolute favorite! By the way, a good example that even very inexpensive perfumes can have real highlights!
Yesterday, after our card night, I stayed over at a friend's place and brought Ribbon as my scent for today. The other 3 ladies wanted to take a sniff... "Uahhh! That's for little girls!!!" one of the friends said (she herself doesn't use perfume). Yes, I agree with her! But precisely for that reason, I took this perfume with me! The hostess has a daughter who will start school in the fall. The petite little girl is stunningly beautiful and already at this tender age has a great fondness for jewelry, glittery things, cosmetics, and pretty dresses. The colorful glass bead necklaces I left for her are worn with great enthusiasm. She would love to change her outfit three times a day. "In that regard, she's just so different from me! She didn't get that from her dad..." her mother always says.
Let's see if I can bring her a little joy again: "Do you want to sniff this?" Nodding! "Give me your arm!" Spray, spray. "Well, does that smell good?" Vigorous nodding. As a perfume junkie, I always have empty sprayers with me and handed the little princess a small decant. The large bottle would have been too heavy for her little hands.

I was really looking forward to this scent
And then the big disappointment. I find the comparisons in the existing comments to the Bübchen shampoo good, however, the raspberry Bübchen shampoo unfortunately smells significantly more exciting than this scent here!
"Ribbon" is extremely one-dimensional and so sweet that it makes me feel sick; I feel like I'm a child again, and because I always feel so nauseous while driving, someone is holding a lollipop in front of me. Terrible. It does not smell like real raspberry, but rather like a raspberry-tangerine candy mix.
Unless you are torturing yourself by spraying "Ribbon" on your hand and smelling it directly, it can be a quite nice companion. Especially (or perhaps exclusively) when you are out and about with children.

The Little Delicate Butterfly
Ribbon came into my collection as a blind buy through the souk - and I was not disappointed. Ribbon smells fine, light. The delicate bottle fits wonderfully here and is pretty to look at.

It is a fragrance for spring and summer, but also for a sunny, warm late summer day. However, on gray autumn days like today, it gets lost, and I wouldn't choose it for winter either. It starts with honeydew melon and aquatic cucumber. I like these watery scent notes in perfumes and can handle them well. Over time, you can clearly recognize lotus; the fragrance becomes more floral but remains "watery" and transparent. The base is lightly woody-transparent, the musk must actually be a white one, at least it smells very clean, not a bit animalistic. Sugar? Well *thinking*... So, I definitely wouldn't classify it as sugar water. Sure, it's lightly sweet, but not really sticky-sweet, rather pleasantly sweet, by no means as sweet as the fragrances from Aquolina, which also list sugar in their scents (which I also like very much).

By the way, I can't perceive any raspberries...

All in all, it reminds me of one of those transparent Japanese fragrances; the sillage would also fit - quite close to the body - and the longevity is about 4 hours. A lovely scent for warmer, friendly days - for anyone who likes to smell understated.

Blue raspberry candy kept from sticky inanity by unusually sour cucumber. Seriousness in the construction, none in the concept: good choice.
