Daydreaming
I am the girl from the fairy tale of the star talers. I'm standing in the night looking up at the sky and it's raining dozens of glittering stars. The lights reflect off their surface and flash into my eyes. Like golden snowflakes, they dance across the sky, illuminating the darkness around me. Lightheartedly, they pounce on my face, soft as down, warm as cat paws, tickling my eyelashes, my lips.
I smile. Nothing can happen to me, nothing, I think, grasping the truth with the totality of my existence. I close my eyes and forget everything that depresses me, begin to just exist, in the here and now, where everything is beautiful and easy, where I can just be a child. Innocently wrapped in the magic of the moment.
The fragrance is a creamy powdery vanilla embrace where nothing is edgy or complicated. It catapults me right back to my childhood. So could have smelled a baby cream from the 90s.
