Like Love Parade on Ku'damm
The 90s were a time when anything seemed possible. The borders opened up and everything that had seemed unimaginable before was suddenly possible. The decade was accompanied by an incomparable spirit of departure, an euphoria that was reflected in every area of life. The Love Parade was the event for the young and the young at heart. Until the mid-90s, it took place on Ku Damm, accompanied by a magic woven from the energy of the participants and music. It was not yet a commercial mass event, but a gathering of like-minded individuals who were unconventional, different, wild, and untamed... if only for that day.
The fragrance that reflects all of this for me is Spellbound. It is unique in its "clove-like spiciness," present from the very first moment, shouting "here I am, are you ready" and taking you along. It was never a girly scent, no pleasing understated companion, and certainly not everybody's darling. Those who know it are either captivated by it or can make absolutely nothing of it; just like the Love Parade on Ku'damm.
