Daydream of Passing Clouds
Despite the ephemeral name of a passing cloud, this appears to be one of the stronger and more “perfumey” offerings from BY FAR. It’s an enjoyable white musk, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’ve smelled something similar to it before.
Digging through my collection, it’s most similar to Narciso Rodriguez’s For Her EDT (the black bottle with pink text). I have an inkling it also reminds me of Margiela Replica’s Lazy Sunday Morning too based on the shared notes of rose, musk, ambrette, and patchouli. However, I don’t have a sample of that to reference.
In terms of overall scent profile, DoPC is my preference though, since For Her has a harsher hairspray-like opening and continues to retain a “cosmetic product” -like quality in its entirety. I think you could apply DoPC pretty liberally and it wouldn’t choke anyone out, whereas you couldn’t do the same with For Her.
