1Marvelous

Phew, my first review and it's such a slab. Gasolin is a perfume that took me on a fast-paced journey of the senses. It feels like I'm racing to the gas station at warp speed, the pungent smell of gasoline fills the air. But suddenly I find myself in a sterile operating theater. The smell becomes clinical and very pungent, like when a surgical nurse disinfects the patient just before the incision is made.

Then I suddenly turn off into the forest, where an attempt is made to light a campfire. It goes badly wrong, the fire immediately goes up in smoke when a rogue pours gasoline over it. The flames flare up violently and create an intense, smoky scent that floods my senses.

Shortly afterwards, I find myself in the confessional, enveloped in thick clouds of incense. The fragrance becomes spiritual and mysterious, I am wearing leather. This opulent and heavy opening is both overwhelming and captivating.

After the psychedelic, screeching opening, which is really intense and leaves you wavering between disgust and fascination, it becomes darker and gloomier.

Smoke and leather come out well and it seems as if someone is holding a pen that has been used intensively right under my nose. The smell of fresh ink smearing and blotting gives the fragrance a depth and complexity.

But then, after about 10 minutes, Gasoline becomes tame. The fragrance calms down and transforms into an almost lovely musky cloud that gently envelops me, wood is there. This softness is unexpected and yet welcome, it lulls me to sleep and offers a surprising contrast to the wild opening. As if the fragrance were saying: Shhhh... quietly quietly my child, you were only dreaming.

I'm actually going to wear this scent because I think if a woman wore it who was daring, I could imagine it as a compliment catcher (once it calmed down). Maybe I'm wrong, but it's definitely worth a try.
