I came across this fragrance by chance while browsing the online store. Curious, I tested it in the store at the next opportunity and couldn't resist. I had to take it with me immediately!
This one smells exactly like
Terre d'Hermès Parfum and in my opinion is very successful. How could I have missed this flanker all these years. It doesn't look like a cheap clone at all, but is made to a very high standard.
The longevity is, as usual with an EDT, average, while the projection at the beginning is surprisingly strong. I find the price-performance ratio particularly impressive, which is hard to beat in this category.
An absolutely recommendable find for all those who appreciate the dna ofTerre d'Hermès Parfum and want to go easy on the wallet!

Jazz Club or Heinrich's pipes?
Wow what a fragrance. Smells like a cigar/pipe tobacco store (Pfeifen Heinrichs). Sweet rum, whisky, pipe tobacco, walk-in cigar humidor, cigars lying in cedar wood boxes and warm woods.

What are you doing?
Top note very similar to L'Aventure Al Haramain. This one is fresher, more sparkling and more aggressive. Not as nice but still bearable. After 10 minutes, the aggressive quality of the top note flattens out. Now it becomes pleasant and slowly but surely unfolds the typical Aventus drydown. What I miss is the acidity of the currant and the fruity, tangy pineapple, which makes its role model so beautiful.
I bought my Aventus (with metal cap) at the beginning of 2024 and was able to compare both fragrances directly on the skin. Towards the middle, after a few hours on the skin, they are almost indistinguishable. Beautifully smoky, fruity, slightly creamy aventus drydown - great! The oakmoss is not overpowering like in other clones such as Afnan Supremacy not only intense.
Longevity is top. With 7 hours on the skin, it makes the Aventus look pretty bad.
I've already had many Aventus clones and I'm always in favor of the original. But this one surprised me positively and is the best clone I've had so far.

My first and last Aventus?
Not so long ago, I only knew fragrances like 1 million or cool water. The typical designer fragrances that you know as a normal consumer. However, I was never 100 percent satisfied. Years later, I met a colleague. When I asked him about his fragrance, we talked about scents I had never heard of before. Surprised at how ignorant I was on the subject, this friend offered to provide me with over 2 dozen samples from his collection. I have to say that I had never really paid attention to more expensive fragrances. I couldn't understand why you have to spend so much money on a fragrance. When I got the samples home and started going through the list my good friend had made for me, I was amazed. From xerjoff and Tom Ford to PDM and creed. Of all these wonderful fragrances, one had stuck in my mind. This sample was marked with the number 15 and according to the list it was a fragrance called Creed Aventus. Citrusy, fruity, creamy, mossy, masculine. Wow. A batch from 2020.
From then on I started looking for alternatives like a savage and analyzing every youtube video. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a fragrance even though another part of me wanted it so badly. The Aventus just grabbed me, threw me into the batch world and never let go. The hunt for THE AVENTUS CLONE was followed by 5 Aventus alternatives. I became more and more dissatisfied. I don't mean that they were bad. However, I was missing something in the fragrance DNA. After months of trying, I finally decided to buy the original. At last. Ordered from creed on 06.11.23 and arrived on 08.11.23.

Fragrance:
On the skin at the beginning very citrusy fresh, black currant. Apple and pink pepper perhaps in the background. After 30 minutes, the scent turns smoky, mossy and musky, resonating with the aforementioned top notes. I can only smell pineapple with a lot of imagination. After 1 to 2 hours, the typical drydown scent with a surprising amount of smoke. Big difference to the 2020 Aventus which was much more vanilla creamy and hardly smoky. This year's batch is a bit edgier fresher and smokier. Sometimes I had the impression to smell similarities with afnan supremacy not only intense (especially after 20 min until the beginning of the drydown)
On clothes the top notes are more noticeable with some smoke. No warm creamy drydown.
Longevity:
I have to say that I can perceive it well on the skin for 2 hours. Then very close to the skin. Barely perceptible after 4 hours. Despite spraying 3 times on the same area of skin.
The Aventus lasts approx. 8 hours on clothing
Sillage:
Very good radiance at the beginning. Similar to an eau de toilette. Fresh and voluminous. Unfortunately wears off very quickly after 30 minutes.
Flacon:
Very beautiful bottle. Very nice shape and feel. Metal cap is heavy and valuable. Bottle can be lifted by holding the cap without the bottle falling down. The sprayer is great and gives off a nice medium-sized cloud. Overall, the bottle looks high quality.
Price/performance:
The Aventus, the king, drove me to spend 295 euros for 100ml. The fragrance is great and really worth the money. But not the longevity. I have to say that I was very euphoric when I unpacked it and sprayed it on. However, my euphoria turned into frustration and stomach ache when I realized how quickly the fragrance evaporated. At this price, the performance simply has to be right. Even if it is always claimed that the Aventus was never beastmode, the expectation is a little high at the price. I have fulfilled my dream of owning the original Aventus. However, a certain disappointment still lingers in the background.
