I am a big Davidoff Cool Water fan, the more annoying I find it that the cold water of today is only a shadow of what it used to be.
In the search for good alternatives I came across Jacomo Deep Blue, at first I did not have high hopes due to the bad ratings, even hesitated to allow myself this one.
But then I decided, among other things because the price is also unbeatably low.

As a first impression after spraying the comparison to Cool Water is quite good, is very similar. What you notice in the first minutes is that Deep Blue is a loud and durable companion.
After the Cool Water note has settled a little bit it gets saltier and fruity and here Deep Blue becomes different from Cool Water.
The somewhat sweet fruity note is a good addition to the classic aquatic note.
I enjoy wearing it in everyday life, a reliable fragrance that accompanies you through the day and reminds you of the sea and beach bar with its salty, fruity note
I think Deep Blue is a hidden underdog, not a unique aquat in terms of fragrance, but in terms of durability

I am surprised that the comparison has not yet been drawn to CD Deo Spray for women, fragrance: Wild Rose. Only directly after spraying on I take similarities to the original. As I think the original smells sweetish - animalistic, I wonder why I didn't treat myself to it. After about 10 minutes the original Ted Lapidus note fades away and very strong rose-like flower chords blossom out. The flower-rose accord will also determine the rest of the fragrance. Ted Lapidus Sport has similarities with the well-known women's deodorant CD-Wildrose. In other words: not a typical men's sports aquatint. The durability and silage is really good, if you like this scent you are well served with TL Sport, the price-performance ratio is also right.

Adidas Avtice Bodies is a fragrance that I find captures the spirit of the 90s and 00s gyms. When I sprayed it on myself, memories of dodgeball, gymnastics on grading and changing rooms in school came to my mind.
The fragrance starts out fresh classic green, you can already guess a slight sweetness, probably the tonka bean and amber. In the drydown, only the sweetness remains, which unfortunately reminds me of Axe Dark Temptation, a cheap deodorant association.
If the top notes would also make it to the drydown, Adidas Active Bodies would be a 10/10 for me. The green-fresh start is a real blast, the drydown unfortunately mainstream cheap brand deodorant sweetness
The durability is really good, no beast mode, but it stays after spraying on without making the curve after 1 -2 hours.
Especially the notes in my head remind me of a retro shower gel scent you have on after showering in the gym or after school sports lesson.
Here every Euro is well invested, even if it is a very cheap fragrance.

If you look at the top notes, you would not guess that Jeanne en Provence Acqua is mainly a rose scent - Aquat. Only in the drydown can you easily guess a woody note, no pine or cypress as you find it in the heart note, but creamy sandalwood, which I still find brilliant. I like to wear it, especially in summer, the rose - chlorine - aquatic mixture is almost as refreshing as cold water. But you have to be into rose, it also looks a little bit feminine to me.
On a rainy day I also treated myself to Jeanne en Provence Acqua and here I had the impression that the scent combined wonderfully with the humidity. Not at all a fragrance only for the summer.

Finally my eternal search for the one perfume that smells like ShowerThe Men in Blue has come to an end. My disappointment was big when I read here that Drakkar Noir is only a shadow of what it used to be in the 80s. Sillage, durability and depth of scent should not be the same anymore.
For me, Al Rehab Dakar smells deeply earthy, a refreshing citrus note that stands out from the earthy, aquanote. Because the oil variant is very strong, I regularly get a little scent even after 8 hours. This is in my opinion very invigorating and fresh, a great classic
A fragrance that is still looking for an appropriate rival today. Clear recommendation to buy.
