When Modern Meets Classic....
...then something like Baldessarini Concentree is created.

On a hunt in the perfume department, I stumbled upon this simple and plain black packaging, which nevertheless exudes elegance. My curiosity was immediately piqued, and thus began a love that has lasted for years ;)

My young nose, shaped by sweet scents like JPG or Joop Homme, wanted to smell something more mature on me, yet it didn't want to fully commit to the "hard calibers" that my father still wore. Baldessarini manages this balancing act like no other fragrance, as it delights with a pleasant but not sticky sweetness paired with a woody-spicy note from days gone by.

Upon spraying, a very pleasant scent emerges, reminiscent of Christmas. Very warm, smelling of mandarin and slightly citrusy, with a top note that truly packs a punch. This fragrance has imprinted itself in my memory, with a uniqueness that only Aventus has achieved otherwise. Baldessarini Concentree does not experience olfactory mood swings and rather remains in the same fundamental tone: fruity, warm, slightly mandarin, spicy, and woody sweet. It transitions from strongly fruity to woody sweet, with the notes always present and swirling gently.

The scent performs excellently in everyday life and can definitely be worn by any age group; it is less important whether one is a suit wearer or the cozy guy on the sofa. Baldessarini Concentree is an all-rounder that is also suitable for the office and fits almost any occasion, just as one would expect from a signature scent. However, it is clearly a fragrance for men and, in my opinion, not suitable for women.

Does the Concentree truly deserve this name addition? Compared to the normal version, there are no significant differences in the scent, but the longevity is noticeably longer. I find the sillage to be significantly more projecting. However, Baldessarini Concentree unfortunately cannot hide the Hugo Boss influence; even if it has disappeared from the bottle, it still lingers in the longevity. With around 5-6 hours on my skin, it is acceptable but not what one would expect from a Concentree. With the additional parts of the line, such as aftershave, deodorant, and even a sprayer for clothing, one can easily survive a day in the office and extend the longevity accordingly.

The 75 ml bottle is impressive, again due to its simplicity. Made of solid glass with a very thick base, it feels substantial in the hand and showcases the amber-colored delight, reminiscent of a well-aged whisky. The cap fits securely and clicks onto the bottle, allowing you to take it out of the bathroom cabinet without worry. The chrome coating also adorns the rest under the hood ;)

However, the 30 ml version is somewhat disappointing. It feels a bit flimsy, and the cap seems rather thin and made of metal. It also does not sit firmly on the bottle, which could certainly lead to an unpleasant surprise.

Conclusion: A fragrance that has the potential to be a signature scent and appeals to a large customer base. It combines classic memories with a pleasant sweetness, bringing the old times closer to young noses. Baldessarini Concentree has a longevity that one would associate with a normal Eau de Cologne. However, the basic version fails miserably in terms of longevity. If this fragrance captivates, as it will for many, then I clearly recommend the Concentree and the additional use of the same deodorant and possibly aftershave. It definitely receives too little attention but offers the opportunity to wear a scent that not everyone has. Nevertheless, it is pleasing and fits into today's fragrance world and will garner compliments!
