The fragrance has something...
I recently ordered a whole series of Ard al Zaafaran fragrances.
All of them had to be tried on a paper strip to get a first impression.
One was there...it completely overshadowed all the others, the Fakhar al Oud..... and yet there was a note that could keep up with the Fakhar.
When I smelled the oud bomb, there was nothing and when I held the others to my nose...there was only the over-present Fakhar al Oud.
Today I took the Mousuf to work...we had stocktaking.
And there was this single omnipresent but very fine delicate note...and for the life of me I can't figure out what it could be. It's something sweet and woody with a hint of subtle tobacco and white incense.
This note is addictive and gives the otherwise already quite beautiful fragrance that certain something.
Yes, Mousuf is a real gourmand fragrance...but without being too heavy, with a certain elegance.
It is therefore not only ideal for winter, but also for the transitional period.

The bottle fits well in the hand...the fragrance is not the most present but the silage is ok to be noticed by the other person.
It easily lasts all day on my clothes.

And the nice thing is, of the 40 or so fragrances I've ordered in the last few weeks, it's a stand-alone fragrance.
I like that.
Nothing is more boring than the same thing in different variations.
But I have to say that these 40 fragrances are mostly dupes...or at least that's what others call them.
For me, they are independent fragrances because I don't know the originals and never will.
I'm not paying 200 just for a perfume.

Conclusion...for 15.- you get a very beautifully made and high-quality gourmand fragrance that you don't smell on every corner.

Spice bomb
From my weekly order of 7 fragrances and all from Ard al Zaafaran(Lattafa) only, this one stood out right away.

At the beginning I spray the new fragrances on a strip of kitchen paper, smell it from time to time and observe how the fragrance develops
But this one completely drowned out all the others and I only had this one left in my nose.

Since the fragrance pyramid here looks completely different from the one on the Lattafa.... page, I'll only describe what I perceive.
From the beginning woods...different woods and then something animalic...something tart-sweet and in the center...buried deep down, there is still something lovely, floral.

Guys, I'm telling you, I've recently added some great fragrances to my collection, one with a great incense scent that I like so much, then something with an addictive tobacco vanilla scent, a very classy gentleman's fragrance...something with an already-tart tea .... and now this bomb!
I usually rate critically and don't give top marks so easily....but here I can't help myself.
I'm addicted to this awesome oud....and if someone claims to smell cowshed, then they really have no idea what cowshed smells like.

It's definitely not for shy wallflowers or nerds, it has to be worn by a real seasoned guy...or a woman who wears the pants at home.
Then the battle lines are definitely drawn.

Silage and longevity...I've never had so much frequency around my desk...I actually wanted to do the opposite.
This fragrance should actually say...don't come too close to me, I want to have my peace and quiet today...last inventory preparations.
Well...for me it either becomes a little milder after a few hours or I simply become scent-blind over time due to the permanent headbanging of the olfactory cells in my nose.
Long story short, no sense at all....that performs really strongly...but good.

Price.... people... 18 eurons.

The better designer fragrance
Guys, I'm telling you, the Arabs in general and the Lattafa group with all its divisions make really cool shit for little money.
I have between 5-10 perfumes sent to me every week.
All blind purchases and not a single real disappointment yet, but several fragrance highlights.

Today's Al Ghawas candidate is also a small beacon in the jungle of the same old standard fragrances.
Bottle-wise, they are among the best anyway, even if they are a little playful at times, but this one is truly European-modern in appearance.

The fragrance starts fresh and citrusy according to the notes given.
Top notes: Calabrian bergamot, grapefruit, nuphane and fig leaf.

A few moments later, something subtly floral is added.
Heart notes: ginger, violet leaf, patchouli and ambroxan.

In the base, it then resembles the mass of designer fragrances with something slightly woody.
Base: cedar, vetiver and musk and tonka bean.

If you are looking for a freshie with a lovely, playful base....is just right here.
The price...a ridiculous 17.-

Silage is unfortunately only average, the shelf life is only marginally better, estimated at 5-6 hours.
You just have to top up again if necessary.
All in all, a good summer fragrance suitable for everyday use that doesn't offend anywhere.

Oppulent reminder of times gone by
I have a collection of about 200 fragrance samples of my own.
Most of them I have never used.
While rummaging in the bag with the samples, I noticed a few bottles on the floor that must have come off the box.
One of them was Trussardi Uomo.
Because it appealed to me so much, I had to try it out straight away.
Huiie...slightly citrusy-floral oppulent is the first impression, then I looked at Parfumo to see what notes are given...I saw the really bad ratings and reviews, this fragrance really doesn't deserve that.
The fragrance is reminiscent of the perfumes of the 80s, when such machos were the order of the day. Oppulet and slightly sultry...The year of release is supposed to be 2011, so not that old, but the scent could easily be from the 80s.
I don't know how old my sample is...and whether the fragrance has been reformulated, but my fragrance is really not bad, even really vintage.
Yes, and the sultry, floral scent lingers for quite a long time....

Relic from another time
I'm browsing through the fragrance reviews and then I notice the "bashing" of this fragrance. What did I write about it back then?
Oops...I hadn't written anything about it yet...., so let's put the whole thing into perspective.
First of all...this fragrance comes from a completely different era, tastes have changed so drastically.
Some scents and fragrances have been taken off the market in the meantime and a lot of artificial ones have been added.
In the 80s there were already sweet, spicy, leathery fragrances etc. but the green spices had a big market.
I actually only bought this fragrance back then because there was supposed to be incense in the profile.
Unfortunately, I don't smell any incense...but spices and some floral accords.
The fact that the bottle has only been half empty for over 25 years says a lot.
It reminds me of "Quorum (Eau de Toilette) | Puig" ...but this one has that certain soapy quality that was in at the time.
I had repurchased Quorum several times and the existing bottle is the 3rd or 4th one.

So here we have a herbaceous-spicy fragrance, with a subtle silage and medium durability
The bottle and atomizer are not so good, but hey, it wasn't one of the most expensive fragrances back then
But it's not as bad as some people make it out to be, it just doesn't fit into the current world of fragrances, but I'm still glad to have it in my collection.
