Warm Synthetic Spice
This smells almost exactly how a very young version of me would imagine department store perfumes to smell like, in the best way. It starts out incredibly sweet with a little underlying warmth from those spices in the top notes, then dries down into an artificial cinnamon-y pastry. Its not a fresh baked pie, its my grandmothers car after sitting in 110 degree heat with a strong air freshener. I love this scent exactly for what it is, and I find myself reaching for it because it feels so nostalgic and comforting. Sweet and warm, with just a minor hint of spices at the end. Personally I quite love this, but I can definitely see how others might dislike it for its strength.
Autumn in a Glass Bottle
This scent starts so sweet and spicy and unlike the majority of Alkemia's scents I've tried, it stayed almost the same throughout the entirety of its wear. This smells almost exactly like warm apple cider, very very apple forward with traces of cinnamon and nutmeg that lend a very nice warmth. This scent feels edible, and its a really delicious apple smell. This never veers into sickeningly sweet or overly spicy, and the balance is very well done. I see myself potentially buying a bottle next year in preparation for autumn due to how evocative it is. Love this scent, and at 50$ for 30 milliliters [I'm not a fan of the dabbers], I can definitely justify this.
A sweet misty morning
This scent starts with very strong rain and grass, and it's so cool and refreshing! It treads the line close to petrichor, but it doesn't quite go over. After about an hour or so, the scent turns much sweeter and loses a lot of the initial rainy notes. It becomes a smooth and earthy floral on me, which is lovely but it does make me miss the heavier rain and ozone.
Sweet Green Tombstones
This scent starts out almost sweet smelling, akin to freshly crushed moss or lichen? If you are looking for something closer to a cold and wet cemetery, you have to wait about an hour for the perfume to really begin to shine. The sweet edge fades out and it turns into a cold grey day. The stone and soil smell very well balanced without being too heavy, and the perfume still retains its green mossy edge. A really interesting experience if you are willing to wait a bit for the initial sweetness to fade out. Personally, I'm willing to allow this scent to shift and change just to enjoy how close to mossy stone it smells.
Comfortable Vinyl
This scent started very strong with the lavender water and rose for me. Not sweet, but definitely herbal and a bit dusty. After a few hours the vinyl, leather, ink, and mahogany really began to shine. I wouldn't say this is library adjacent, but it does smell very nice and dark. Personally, I loved how the scent shifted over time and the variety that it provides. The vinyl + leather is also well done, and I definitely enjoyed this scent overall!
