The Knight of Pineapple
The red curtain rises.
Silence fills the hall and the show begins.
What Mr. Creed presents to me this time is quite different from what I know him for.
It’s a remake of his film.
The introduction starts with a bergamot and a very green pineapple.
Very fruity and I am quite surprised.

As we move towards the middle, the familiar story continues and the knight Aventus does what I like and know.
He develops his Aventus vibe with a sadly very subtle smokiness.
A now ripe pineapple accompanies the whole thing.
The film has its highs and lows; you think it’s already over, and then something else comes.

Towards the end, it becomes a little musty and the performance concludes after 6 hours.

I was somewhat surprised since I don’t know Aventus to be so extremely fruity and with very little smoke.
But as we know, it depends on the batch.

I had already purchased a bottle after the tested scent lasted forever in the store.
My bottle smelled like the tester, but the tester lasted significantly longer.

Now I have received a scent as a decant that is somewhat Aventus but still different.
I find it quite unfortunate that there are such differences.

Since I really love the smoky aspect, I reach for a twin.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Feminine Floral Beauty
I don't know what tuberose smells like, but I will try to describe my experience with the fragrance.

I am always very pleased when a sample from Diptyque finds its way to me..
So far, I have actually liked every fragrance from the label.

Do Son starts, as I perceive it, with jasmine.
I am usually a bit cautious with jasmine.
Once, I spilled Jasmine Rouge during a decanting and caused an atomic jasmine disaster in my apartment.
Since then, I have a love-hate relationship with jasmine.
I like it, but it can also get annoying quickly.

However, the jasmine is not very overwhelming and quickly recedes into the background.
A beautiful floral-spicy scent develops.
At this stage, I have a slight feeling of smelling a hint of clove.
I find it very pleasant, and it is by no means overwhelming or irritating.
The floral-spicy note lasts until the base, where the fragrance ends with a floral-sweet note.

I perceive the scent as more feminine than unisex.
Personally, I wouldn't wear it, but I would really like it on a lady.

All in all, a lovely fragrance that is worth testing.
I am looking forward to trying more scents from the brand.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Wild Stallion? More like a little unicorn!
A wild Arabian stallion ridden by a thief with a saber.
In the dry, dusty desert.
The imagination starts to run wild when you read the name and see the bottle.

I expected a scent like Oud Assam.
Fecal note and a bit dirty.

However, something different awaited me.
The fragrance starts with a certain lightly fecal medicinal note.
I'm a bit torn about what I should perceive it as.
The rose is already playing a part and is moving in the direction I expect.
The scent is already somewhat restrained.
As it develops, it becomes sweeter and surprisingly pleasant and simple.
The oud note slowly retreats completely, leaving behind a floral sweet scent.
The cardamom beautifully embraces the whole composition, and the fragrance knows how to please in its own way.

However, I find the theme completely missed, and when I think of a wild Arabian, a completely different scent comes to mind.
Something similar has been smelled often.
The fragrance is quite restrained and offers a subtle sillage and a longevity of about 4 hours on my skin.

The bottle is stylish, and I somehow like the tin cans from Montale.
My favorites from the house remain Blue Amber and Red Vetyver.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Great Cinema for Little Money - The Golden Lemon for Putting Green
This fragrance is clearly my discovery of 2017.
What you get here for little money is simply great cinema.
You could say it's the quality of an A-movie at the price of a C-movie :)

Delightfully zesty lemon that reminds me of candies.
You also get a beautiful scent progression.
The spices and patchouli create a wonderfully fresh men's fragrance.
It smells more refined than its price would suggest.

In the drydown, Putting Green leaves a wonderful masculine scent.
I love to still perceive it on my clothes the next day.

For me, this is a fragrance that a man can wear all year round.
It is particularly suitable for leisure and the office, but for going out in the evening with my wife, I would reach for a different fragrance.

I compared it to the current version from Dior and must admit that I prefer this one.
Where Dior offers almost only lemon, Putting Green is more opulent and classic.

The longevity is about 4-5 hours on my skin, and the sillage is well noticeable for the first 2 hours and then becomes a bit closer to the body.

You can overlook the bottle at a price of not even 10 euros.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Pure Emotions
For a long time, I thought about which fragrance I would comment on today.
It had to be a special scent.
What makes a fragrance special?
One possibility is when you can associate a scent with a special experience.

A Men is for me a reminder of a special vacation and a special person.
Right at the beginning of the vacation, I bought this fragrance in a small shop in Ferris on Menorca.
And I wore it every evening during that vacation.
This vacation was something very special for me; it was the last vacation with my mother.
My mother had MS and was in a wheelchair; the kindness of the Spaniards and especially their willingness to help gave her a real boost, and she truly blossomed.
The cappuccino in Mahon, the harbor of Ciutadella, and my mother's satisfied gaze will forever remain the most beautiful memories of her.

What Mugler has brought to the market is simply an amazing fragrance.
And it is actually more suitable for colder days.
The scent is quite heavy and sweet.
You don't even need to talk about longevity and sillage; it lasts and lasts and lasts....

It's a shame that such beautiful fragrances are appearing less and less in the mainstream market.
And when you can connect a fragrance with something so special in life, that's why I have a passion for perfume.

Others have such memories with a song, etc.
For us perfumistas, it's a fragrance.

I hope I was able to express well what emotions this scent awakens in me.

I wish you all a reflective Christmas with your family.
