Masterpiece or?
Recently, I got my hands on a discontinued gem - Amouage Figment Man. A friend gave it to me to sell, since he wasn’t using it. As a fragrance enthusiast who truly appreciates Amouage and their genuinely unique scents, there was no way I wasn’t going to try it myself.
Even though I didn’t like it at all upon first wear, I decided to give it 5-6 days. After all, Amouage fragrances are not made for one-night stands! On the first day, I noticed the citrusy opening, but soon after came the smell of soil and animalic accords – it literally felt like I had peed on the ground.
With each wear, though, I started to realize that the fragrance wasn’t nearly as bad as I had initially thought. In fact, several people even gave me compliments on it.
So, the fragrance opens with an aromatic-citrusy accord, and almost immediately, the animalic note kicks in. Somewhere around the time the citrus begins to fade and the animalic notes start to intensify, there's this light urinous scent that shows up, but it only lasts for about 3-4 minutes. After that, the heart unfolds beautifully, rich in vetiver and patchouli, supported by the same animalic warmth. There's also a mysterious note in the heart that I can't quite put my finger on, but it adds a lot of depth and intrigue to the whole composition.
In the dry-down, it becomes slightly sweet, soft, and maturely woody. I love the fact that this fragrance goes through radically different phases and transforms from something extremely difficult to wear into an actual masterpiece, just like some of the reviews describe it.
I completely understand the negative reviews, but I believe most people simply didn’t give it enough time to really dive into the scent. The animalic notes can be challenging – even intimidating for the average consumer.
Would you give a fragrance like this a chance?
Longevity is over 10 hours, and projection is moderate to strong in the beginning, later becoming more intimate and close to the skin, perfect for more personal moments.

The Island is intense!
I haven't added it to my Bond no. 9 collection just yet, but its time will come unless they discontinued it first. It's not very common in Bulgaria or Europe, but i'll get my hands on it somehow.
To give you a reference point, imagine a collaboration between Megamare and Torino 21, but without the citrus. A hold minty scent dominates, creating the unmistakable "island" vibe. I don't get much basin personally, but it doest add a certain richness to the composition.
There's also a light floral freshness that gives it some airiness, while the sandalwood, amber, and oakmoss bring in playful masculine depth... it makes the fragrance straight-up sexy.
A true heartbreaker scent.
It lives up to its name - it really takes you to an island or the shores of Cape Cod Bay

smoke, leather, and nighttime magic
From the very first spray, you feel a veil of a dark Polynesian mint meet pure incense.
Spicy, cold, almost ghost - like...
And then the real game begins - bitter wormwood, leather, sandalwood, and frankincense - everything merges into the scent of a smoky library, secret rituals, and midnight wine.
It wears a dense and heavy, but never overpowering - like a man who doesn't speak much, but when he does, everyone listens.
This isn't an office scent. It's for the night, for mystery, for rainy evening in black blazer with no direction.
Also teenagers stay away from it, i don't think it will fit people between 14-20 years old, unless you are a business man :)

One of the most slept on fragrances on the market
Sutton Place is one of those perfumes i didn't think i'd like because of the leather note (i'm not a fan), but unexpectedly... we clicked. Today is the fist time i'm wearing it, and after 5 hours, I think i can give a relatively accurate opinion, as it's a bit more subdued in character.
It opens with a citrusy burst of bergamot. The pineapple is also noticeable, and the pink pepper adds a slightly spicy, sharp edge - but not overwhelmingly so. There's also a hint of blackcurrant.
As the scent develops, it begins to resemble Creed Aventus or Absolute, but on steroids. In my opinion Sutton Place has a slightly sweeter, muskier dry-down. The leather is present but barely noticeable - it's there, yes almost feels absent.... I can't quite explain it.
I find it suitable for all seasons, daily wear, and any kind of occasion - overall, a great option for a signature scent.
It's been 8 hours on my skin now and still going strong and full-bodied, so I think it will last at least 12 hours. It's definitely not one of those fragrances that will just sit collecting dust in my collection.

One scent I’ve been wearing over the past few days is So New York.
Its smell is literally like those chocolate-covered donuts you find in Billa, Lidl and other supermarkets - powdery cocoa with light hint of plum.
I don't really get the coffee note, to be honest - i don't smell it at all.
A friend of mine said So New York somewhat resembles Zoologist Rabbit, I haven't smelled the Rabbit myself, so i can't confirm, but judging by the listed notes, they don't have much in common.
I'm still unsure whether i like it or not - it's pleasant but also a bit odd.
It stays very close to the skin, and its longevity is about 3-4 hours.
Maybe it just needs to sit in the cabinet a bit longer before i give it another try.
I have the Anniversary bottle, which is incredible.
Overall, I really like Bond's bottles - they are beautiful.
