clean, fresh, and soooo soft...
As an absolute fan of clean/laundry scents and musk, I've been eyeing the classic Essence for a while now. If it hadn't developed so strongly soapy on my skin, it would have been in my collection a long, long time ago :) Additionally, it was a bit too present for me during the first two hours.
Even my mum, who hardly perceives any scents, asked me if I had looked a bit too deeply into the (fragrance) bottle...
At that point, it had already been 1 1/2 hours since I sprayed both scents on my wrists for a direct comparison.
Now for the comparison... How does Musc Collection Essence EdP Intense smell?
Unmistakably related to Essence. Also very clean, also very fresh, with the rose dominating the opening along with the musk. (I can't identify other flowers exactly, but you can tell it's not just the rose.) It's like pressing your nose directly into freshly washed bed linen :)
However, Intense is a bit softer, more floral, and quieter.
At first, I could hardly perceive it because my other wrist was so dominant. I was already thinking, "So this is supposed to be Intense? Intense is probably just the price difference, right?" I was even a bit disappointed...
Now, half a day later, the classic Essence has completely left me. Nothing! No trace!
But Intense is still there :) Warm, soft, fresh, and clean... Simply beautiful!
Come cuddle! Freshly showered with a rose shower gel and delicate, baby-smooth freshly shaved skin in a freshly made bed; the fabric would be associatively white silk, and you can feel how the body heat warms the fabric....
So beautiful and right at the top of my must-have list :)

completely different than expected...
Due to the fragrance notes and the comment, I was very curious. I can wholeheartedly agree with the association to Marlene Dietrich instead of a cowgirl. It fits really well!
Maybe my nose is somehow underdeveloped, but I only perceive incense. No change, no scent development. Just incense - spicy, sweet. However, it lasts excellently. Sprayed on my wrist in the morning, and still very noticeable in the evening.
If I ever wanted to go as a cleric for Carnival, this would be my first choice.
For everyday use, though, Calamity J is not really for me. It smells interesting; you have to like it...

Curiosity
Half past eight in the morning in Germany...
"Are you expecting a package?"
"Yessss :-)"
*DingDong*
"We have to go; your train!"
"Wait, I just need to test it..."
I had over an hour to thoroughly assess the fragrance... It was a lucky purchase. My boyfriend wears Custo Man; I really like it on him. So I was curious about the women's version.
BUT really no perfumery that was anywhere on my way carried this scent, so I could have sniffed it once.
Still curiosity!
What to do?
- Ebay... Outbid... Damn!
Still curiosity!
- Online shop of the Turquoise! (no other option...)
Sooooo.... At first, it smells quite citrusy. The grapefruit comes through strongly. Definitely not teeny-bopper, rather slightly bitter. It then becomes more robust, and after a while, a light sweetness of strawberry mixes in. I love musk and amber anyway :)
You definitely shouldn't imagine anything like Hubba-Bubba or Lacoste "something of pink."
I would describe this scent as warm-herb and yet somehow fresh. Definitely grown-up with a high recognition value.
Custo is a great musk scent with a bitter-sweet fruity note; veeeeery subtly, or hardly perceptibly floral.
For me, it was a real lucky find, and the more I smell it, the more I like it :) The curiosity was worth it :)

Symphony... Somewhere we have failed...
How many times have we tried together now? Even right now again. I wanted and still want to not give you up...
You already came to me twice with an order as a sample. I can clearly remember our first encounter:
A fantastic fragrance flowed through my nose. You were so different. Citrusy and warm. Spicy and soft. Angel and devil. I was sad, almost regretted not having ordered you. That you were not part of the package.
Even today I still like you very much at the beginning. The strong blackcurrant comes with the citrus fruits sweet-sour. A little tart even.
The floral notes make you wonderfully soft and feminine. I actually find your base notes wonderful. They make you incredibly warm, powdery, and seductive. You simply have depth.
You are not a sweet-floral girl’s scent. With you, one does not associate a braided Lolita sitting in a flower garden chewing gum on a swing with pink balloons in hand.
Your wearer innocently tucks a strand of hair behind her ear, with a gentle smile, mysterious silence, and seductive sparks in her eyes. Confident, sexy, natural, a little dreamy but by no means childish, prim, diva-like, or loud.
You are so wonderful. At this moment. But eventually, the fruity-floral fades away. What remains is a very warm, sweet but strong woody scent. On my skin, you develop almost painfully. You remind me a bit of hoof tar. (Anyone who deals with horses will know exactly what I mean...)
Now you are no longer lovely but unfortunately, unfortunately only intrusive. Your presence is getting on my nerves...
It started so beautifully, but maybe we are just not meant for each other. You will surely find another one with whom you will develop better. You deserve it.
It’s not you - it’s me.
To quote Silbermond...
Maybe it’s
"time to admit that it’s not working",
maybe it’s
"better to give up"
and maybe
"it’s better if you go".
PS: also not my music, but the lyrics fit so well ;)

Good Mood to Spray :)
I can only agree with Sephia: I also find Moschino much softer than D&G.
Upon the first spray, it almost reminds me of zesty, sweet lemonade (which admittedly put me off a bit at first).
But after the initial sweetness dissipates, this fragrance develops into a wonderfully harmonious composition: alongside the protagonist musk, the soft, light lily of the valley subtly makes its presence known and gives the overall work its femininity and gentleness. The citrus notes now also join in and provide a fruity freshness. Woods and spices round it off without stepping out too prominently.
Light Blue, on the other hand, seems less balanced to me (not negatively, just differently). Upon the first spray, it is by no means sweet, but rather almost piercing, and then develops into a stricter, somehow "more mature" scent.
Primarily, one associates I love love with summer and sunshine. But I find that due to its fruity and slightly floral note, it can also be beautifully worn in colder weather. It always depends on my mood...
A hoodie on a ski vacation suited this good mood maker very well :)
And the longevity for an EdT is also quite impressive :)
In my opinion, Moschino I love love and D&G Light Blue are two great fragrances that, despite their similarities, are fundamentally different.
Light Blue radiates sovereignty and understatement; it also feels at home in the office.
I love love wants to have fun and spread it. It is the perfect companion for university, sports, barbecues, dating, shopping, movie nights, for feeling good... just for "leisure" ;)
The name says it all: I love love... and love loves me :-)
