Warm carrot
An amber and resinous carrot, made dark by the sharp and shadowy notes of lavender and vetiver, this time there is no iris but ylang ylang and a hint of vanilla to counterbalance with sinuous brush strokes. I like to find in this carrot that citrus note that naturally belongs to it. The evolution from the initial dark temperament to the drydown is wonderful, where an amber labdanum note is dissolved and embraced by the very delicate caress of a carrot that has put aside its earthy component, revealing itself to be powdery, soft and welcoming like the maternal skin, a safe place of primordial childish serenity.
It was worth ordering it from the USA together with the discovery, full of other very interesting references

Racine freshness
The first impression is of a green freshness, it seems to hear the "crack" of a leg of celery while breaking, offering its juicy and tingling scent. The Haitian Vetiver and its unmistakable aroma are the pivot for a Ferris wheel of suggestions, which start from the roots, from dry and fresh scents linked to the soil, and then rise and expand thanks to carrot seeds and chamomile with their slightly "fruity" contribution. The Iris adds a patina of dustyness to the composition, in this case for me also a nostalgic, poetic touch, like an old, worn mirror, slightly damaged, in which to find yourself in the most protected, comforting (lost) moments. A stimulating fragrance, but with a calm, reflective energy, a discreet and kind company.

A dark osmanth
I like that a cheerful and bright note in the collective imagination is overshadowed by deep and dark notes, making me come out of total comfort for a moment. In this case it is the osmanthus absolute with its pastel apricot color that takes on a material tone, burnished by green and dark brown sponging. Honey and quince, hints of malt distillation, peat, coniferous woods, suggest rural sensations of a bush at dusk, damp and with the mist that confuses the way back towards reassuring smoking chimneys. But there is also a large presence of leather, skin and human activities: tenacious forearms burned by the sun and marked by work, overalls soiled with lubricating oil, boots. I am reminded of the idea of returning home, after a strenuous working day, with all the smells still on and a whiskey in hand to ward off anguish and evening demons.
