Lagerfeld Classic Grey
The Flacon let my curiosity quickly flare up.
My thoughts on this: Has Grey something to do with the Classic or the Photo?
Hardly the delivery had arrived, I have made myself directly about it.
After the first spray came the amazement.
I could make out cedar wood with subtle vanilla.
This went on for a few days. Then I put it aside for a longer time, because the cedar wood was too penetrating for me. Why did they choose this flacon of all things?
Months later, I put it back on and was amazed. The cedar was now no longer so dominant. Did Grey need about more maturation time?
I asked myself again, why this flacon? What is the message?
Smelled again on the forearm I recognized something from a bygone era.

A fragrance note, which winds discreetly in the "gray" veil back and forth.
This note was also present in the Lagerfeld Photo.

I like it very much in the meantime.

Unbridled passion
This for me divine masterpiece has nested deep in my heart. I am completely addicted to this fragrance for life since 1986! So far, no perfume has managed with me.
Can still remember very well the fresh KL Homme Splash from back then.
First faltered me by aldehydes? after application for 3 seconds the breath. In the top note I guess bergamot, dry mandarin/orange peel and rosewood. Something slightly reminiscent of clove. Then comes an absolute one-of-a-kind. An accord, beyond good and evil. I hold both palms under my nose and inhale deeply. A sharp note of cinnamon tingles slightly in the nose. I breathe in again, and deeper. I must feel this tingle again. But it becomes more and more distant and remains unreachable. Wow! This chord is hard to describe. I'm guessing a combination of cinnamon leaves, citrus notes with cedar, maybe benzoin is in there? What a brilliant show! Next, you can clearly perceive vanilla and amber. Something about it is reminiscent of a sweetish rose. At this stage, a feeling of bliss arises in me. Slowly, the base notes join in.
The vanilla then becomes dustier. Overall, it gets dustier and soapier. Benzoin, cinnamon, rosewood, civet, cedar and castoreum accompany from now on through the rest of the day. The next day, my shirt collar smelled pleasantly of a mix of, dusty vanilla, rosewood and castoreum.

The base smells uniquely good and is addictive! Actually, the entire fragrance is an addiction.
KL Homme is a multi-faceted experience.

This is how I feel KL Homme:
Its top notes abruptly overtake my senses.
His heart notes create in me complete bliss. Arrived in paradise!
His base notes gently wake me up from this trance and captivate me!
I get the need KL reapply to enjoy all the chords again.

My grief over the shutdown can not be put into words.

I can't understand why the rights holders let the recipe gather dust and don't monetize it. It would sell well, guaranteed. Just the lovers of KL would make sure that no bottle would end up as a shopkeeper.

A sincere thank you to the Creator of KL Homme and Sir Karl Lagerfeld!
Their composition was and is an enrichment of the senses.
