Why does everything beautiful have to be so fleeting? I Pacific Chill
Two words automatically come to mind when I think of "Pacific Chill | Louis Vuitton": beautiful and ephemeral! Well, the performance problem is a well-known issue at LV with fresh fragrances except for "Imagination | Louis Vuitton", but with this fragrance I would have liked the performance to be extreme, because the DNA is simply brilliant!

Now, how do I perceive the fragrance?

- At the beginning you get an extremely fresh apricot, which paired with the mint has an almost cooling effect, especially at high temperatures. Fruity and fresh, but in a very special way... and yes, some might say that it smells "cheap" like Garnier shampoo, and yes, I had that association too, but you can tell that the high quality here is far superior to the "shampoo comparison"

- After that, the basil and the currant join in quite quickly from my point of view, the extremely fresh opening then becomes slightly creamier-fresh-spicy thanks to coriander; but the basic DNA of apricot still plays along, so that the fragrance remains true to its line

- At the beginning it is a real blast - the projection is good, but after a few minutes the performance diminishes slightly and after a few hours (4-5 hours) the fragrance becomes more skin-like, which is fine for me for a summer fragrance, but with all that money you expect a little more.

All in all, a solid freshie from Louis Vuitton with the well-known teething troubles in terms of projection and longevity. In terms of DNA, however, the fragrance is really great for a freshie!

Definitely test the fragrance for performance first and also in terms of DNA; not everyone will like this "shampoo association" and you have to effectively like apricot in fragrances.

Suède et Safran: Branding is program I Saffron and leather on a light musk base!
The "Suède et Safran | Nishane" could not have been more appropriately named in terms of branding; from the first spray, you can clearly smell these main components of the fragrance. But what is the fragrance like and can it really be compared with other leather fragrances such as "Godolphin | Parfums de Marly", "London | Widian / AJ Arabia"?

Let's see:
- The "Suède et Safran | Nishane" starts with a spicy-sweet saffron note, which is very quickly overtaken by a beautiful suede note. Somehow you really get the feeling of being in an expensive leather shoe or leather handbag boutique.

- A light musk note gradually joins in, providing the two main players with a slightly fresh base and then brightening up these dark notes a little and accompanying the fragrance as a supporting base.

Overall, the name says it all; you effectively get saffron & leather on a musk base. Compared to the "Godolphin | Parfums de Marly", I find the "Suède et Safran | Nishane" slightly more brightly balanced, and compared to the "London | Widian / AJ Arabia" much drier and less sweet; the "London | Widian / AJ Arabia" has more "mass-appealing" with its wonderful raspberry-leather combo.

It's a great and beautiful fragrance yes, but there are simply far better ones in this segment, unfortunately.

A dream for seasoned patchouli lovers I A fragrance for true nature lovers
The "Pachulí Kozha | Nishane" by Nishane is a special fragrance; yes special, because its focus is so extremely on the patchouli; not exactly surprising when you read the fragrance name. I actually like patchouli when it is well and discreetly crafted. Unfortunately, this fragrance was a little too patchouli-heavy for me personally, which is by no means objectively bad, but simply not my scent!

I think that "Pachulí Kozha | Nishane" nevertheless deserves a good rating in isolation for what it should do, and for the following reason:

- The fragrance starts extremely intensely at the beginning with bright floral notes, with the patchouli kicking in very early on. However, the floral notes are accompanied by a tartness, with the patchouli quickly taking over.

- The fragrance becomes increasingly darker and darker, the earthy patchouli constantly bursts out and is only balanced by incense and leather in the drydown, so that an earthy, leathery patchouli base unfolds at the end. I only slightly perceive the honey, but I suspect that it also plays a role, because otherwise the fragrance would have become much darker and smokier. From start to finish, however, the patchouli is the main protagonist... and yes, this is rather masculine, strong, earthy, even tart...

- The H/S is definitely in the upper mid-range and is quite respectable. But this is to be expected with such patchouli-heavy and dark fragrances; nevertheless, this is not always the case.

To summarize, yes, the fragrance is a real treasure for patchouli lovers! The patchouli itself is excellently crafted and is also the main player in the fragrance. Nishane has also incorporated 1-2 twists here, with bright floral, balsamic aspects at the beginning and then leather and incense in the drydown - so yes, an exciting fragrance progression.

Definitely test in advance and definitely, but definitely, not a blind buy recommendation!

Mayday: Another fragrance that flies under the radar I Zenne: Fruity-floral year-round companion!
I've been testing "Zenne | Nishane" over the last few weeks and I have to say that the fragrance is another Nishane that is unfairly flying under the radar. The trend of "clean girl vibes" includes many mainstream fragrances, but the "Zenne | Nishane" doesn't appear anywhere, or only very rarely... and yes, I implied a bit that the fragrance is very feminine, but from my point of view it is rather feminine (even if everyone can wear any fragrance these days).

Now a short version of "Zenne | Nishane"

- The opening is characterized by a fruity currant paired with a slight sweetness and acidity at the same time, which comes from the rhubarb. The opening is really great and energetic

- This is followed by a beautiful rose note, which is also clearly perceptible; it is a rather light, slightly watery rose that blends with the creamy sandalwood note - before moving into an ambery musk base. The base is then "unfortunately" already very boring, but still smells high-quality and good.

- H/S is really in the upper mid-range and the fragrance is easily perceptible. In my opinion, a fragrance that you could wear almost all year round

All in all, a great fragrance that at least deserves to get more attention, as it already smells rather high quality compared to other similar fragrances such as Armani Si.

It's 1999, my friends and I go to play soccer... and it smells like LV Sur La Route I nostalgia
I was able to test the fragrance extensively and I have to say that the scent catapulted me back to times that were simpler. Times when we simply went out with friends without cell phones, without Tiktok, with the football and the only orientation was the position of the sun or whether it was light or dark.

Well, the scent is absolutely not old-fashioned, don't take it from the title wrong, it just takes me back to the time when people met up to play football, the grass was still a bit damp from the night and you just lay down and breathed in the freshness of the grass.

"Sur la Route | Louis Vuitton" is the only fragrance that automatically gave me this feeling the first time I sprayed it on. An extremely fresh opening, paired with citrus and a beautiful note derived from grass. The opening is so fresh and citrusy that I would have liked it to last longer, but unfortunately this opening wears off quite quickly.

Of course, the fragrance does not become "worse" because of this, but develops into a spicy-fresh base that still carries this light grassy note, but is complemented by musk, nutmeg and a light, really marginal cinnamon note that comes from Peru balsam.

The longevity is - hmm... - rather lower mid-range and the projection unfortunately wears off extremely quickly; the common problem of fresh LV fragrances with the exception of "Imagination | Louis Vuitton". Nevertheless, this fragrance is very special, and really beautifully designed, and yes... for some, it brings back memories of fresh meadows and carefree childhood...
