Men's fragrance
Understatement
Diaghilev... when I tried it for the first time in a perfumery I thought to myself... well, it's not for me. Way too expensive and smells like hairspray. Checked off.
Later, however, I picked up a sample out of curiosity. Can't do any harm. Sprayed it on fresh clothes and put it on my desk.

I sniffed it for several days in succession... even after 2 weeks there was still something to smell. The initial harshness of the scent had faded. All that remained was a floral veil of a wonderful men's fragrance.

Smells of earth and floral bouquet.

Noble, elegant. Signature.

Fetched.

The fragrance smells of green vetiver. And classic men's chypre. So rather a classic clean men's fragrance with character plus vetiver.

Pardon
After I had already tested the fragrance years ago. Now a review after a long fragrance experience. The similarity to Dries van Noten is still somewhat present, but Pardon is much thinner. More chocolatey. But now to why I am writing a review, the name. I think the name Pardon was simply chosen as an apology to offended noses who first smelled fragrances like Fantomas Extrait de Parfum or Duro Extrait de Parfum. Simply according to the motto, Pardon, Nasomatto can also be different. It can also produce flattering fragrances. It is less a pardon when you wear it than the fact that the fragrance is a pardon to the customer.

The fragrance itself, dark, woody, slightly oudy. Strong sandalwood note for me. Top. 9.5.

Flacon of course Nasomatto typical the most beautiful on the market. The one in particular.

Another test
So... freshly sprayed from the perfumery. Right GIT and left Royal Oud! Another test. GIT still smells the same. To Royal Oud. First time I didn't like Royal Oud that much... just cedar, that's all there was. Maybe a little peach at the end. This time, too. The first 10 minutes. ..but then! Meanwhile my taste has changed a little. And Royal Oud too, at least in the last 30 minutes on my wrist.

To the fragrance: still stronger cedar, but I already feel the sweet peach in my nose. I assume it's the oud. Or the combination of everything. A soft sweet cedar scent. You just have to like cedars, then you become loved ones. I like him. Even though GIT in my opinion contains more craftsmanship, Royal oud is a successful round scent. Maybe he'll be one of my favorites in the future. Once you get used to the cedar and learn to love it, it is not much after GIT anymore.

Smell all the spices: Congratulations I just smell woody cedar and an all-encompassing soft peach something. But I may.

The Viking
Yes, I know many people can't associate a Viking with this fragrance, but many people also don't know that Vikings were very often out and about in the Middle East. Sometimes on a raid, sometimes just as a trader. It is said that they often stayed in the former Constantinople, today Istanbul. And the fragrance has indeed a strong oriental impact, the rose, the patchouli, above all the strong sandalwood. He reminds me very much of honey, maybe rose honey. Whatever that smells like in real. Although honey is not officially listed. Presumably Vikings were among other things big treat mouths, thus will have enjoyed honey gladly. I find the official description of the manufacturer by means of longships somewhat scarce, but the abruptness of the rough sea is well transported.

One can imagine the scent as a ship, loaded with a load of honey and many herbs, sailing through the rough sea. With mint chewing Vikings on board.

In icy heights
The water's flowing. Quietly and quietly it splashes down. From windy heights, covered with snow and ice, it flows down in a small stream. Small waterfalls, surrounded by icicles, it jumps down. Every now and then a juniper berry falls into it, a few lemons sleep next to it. The lower we get, the warmer it gets. From the riverbed, hearty minerals are taken along, which lend hardness. The exhilarating trickle ends in a village where the inhabitants shave their beards with traditional razors and lots of cuddly foam in the mist grey morning.
