Discounter "Le Male"
Today tested at Rossmann: "Scottish Man" by "La Rive"
Actually, I usually steer clear of such fragrances that can be found for under €7 in drugstores. Even when spraying it on, I thought of Gaultier's "Le Male," in a slightly diluted form.
I have something similar in my collection in the form of "Cabal" from the perfume label "Miro" (absolutely not bad for the price of about €11).
Expectations for this cheap perfume shouldn't be set too high. The longevity and sillage are rather mediocre. The ingredients of the fragrance are likely entirely synthetic.
What doesn't fit at all is the name, as well as the bottle (looks like a flask filled with whiskey).
Both suggest a harsh old man's scent. However, the fragrance is, as already mentioned, a "Le Male" knockoff.
Conclusion: For the tight budget, this perfume is quite okay; for perfume fans and connoisseurs, it is rather insignificant.

Why are you so weak...?
Recently, I discovered this beautiful fragrance that has been on the perfume market since the late 90s.

Pi is a great, comforting scent for autumn and winter. Quite sweet, with a somewhat Christmas-like aroma of anise, vanilla, and almonds; it's actually not a typical men's fragrance and is certainly something for women as well.

But now comes the big UNFORTUNATELY:
The scent is extremely close to the skin, meaning the sillage is at most mediocre. You really have to get very close to the wearer to perceive the perfume.
Of course, those who do not want to wear a scent bomb and only want to smell very subtle will find Pi to be perfect.

For a long time, I entertained the thought of acquiring the perfume, as I really like the scent, but since Pi is indeed very weak, I ultimately decided against it.

What a pity, maybe Givenchy will one day launch Pi-Extreme on the market...

French Cat Marking Its Territory...
Ted Lapidus' fragrances polarize like few others. You either love them or you hate them.
However, if you have identified a favorite among them, you can be sure that you won't encounter it on every corner or in every relevant perfume store, and for me personally, that's another plus.

Recently, I decided to make a blind purchase of Black Extreme, as a sample was nowhere to be found, and I generally like the Lapidus fragrances.

With excitement, I sprayed the fragrance at home: An absolute child of the 80s, even though it was launched in 2012.
Very synthetic, yet extremely musky, harsh, angular, masculine... The wearer of this perfume dominates their surroundings and makes it clear: This is my territory, I am in charge here...

But to be honest, on the skin, the scent, as noted here by Aqvatic, smells like urine. I immediately thought of the litter box at friends' houses, a sharp, piercing odor... What a shame, a bad purchase..., and since I found this smell unbearable, I quickly went to the bathroom, took soap, and washed it off. But lo and behold, the scent could not be removed; even after multiple washes, I could still perceive it about 10 hours later. So the longevity and sillage are enormous.
I like Kouros, which already comes off quite animalistic, but this Lapidus fragrance is just too overpowering for me.
Anyone looking for something truly extravagant might be well served with this creation, but definitely try to test it first and don't let my very personal litter box association influence you.

Fruity Melon Scent for Summer
Like almost all fragrances from Calvin Klein, this one is relatively synthetic.
A sweet melon clearly dominates here; however, the scent loses some of its fruity note over time;
that's really all I can personally discern about the scent's development.

For young people looking for a fruity, cheerful summer fragrance, Escape is certainly suitable.
The scent lifts your spirits and invigorates. It may not rank among the masterpieces of perfumery, but it will have its admirers (including members of the female gender).

My First Fragrance Love...
As the headline suggests, this Eau de Toilette was my first fragrance that I bought for myself with my pocket money. I was 17 years old at the time; today I have to laugh when I think about a teenager wearing this strong, leathery, smoky scent bomb, which one would probably associate more with a mature man. Today, no young man would likely wear this bombastic fragrance...
The longevity and sillage were enormous, so my mother's reminder always came into play: "Don't take so much of it...".
I loved this scent, found it very chic and elegant, and I can still smell it today; unfortunately, at some point the 70s bottle was empty and shortly after that the fragrance was discontinued, so I could never repurchase it.
But that's often how it is, you always long for your first love, and you often romanticize it.
If Ted Lapidus pour homme were in front of me today, I would still love the scent...???

Today, I purchased a bottle of this fragrance on eBay, at a price that was close to the pain threshold, after many years.
Great, the scent has remained perfectly preserved despite its age. It is exactly as I remembered it.
A noble, elegant fragrance that reminds me of incense and leather. Perfect for the coming winter...
