Spicy cardamom / cinnamon type scent that lasts
Opens with cardamom and some patchouli. Not too strong but can smell the fragrance well. It actually gets stronger and more spicy after about 1-2 hours in.
In the mid dry down stage, the scent is a spicy cardamom with a feeling of cinnamon too. Frankincense becomes more apparent as a resin that's not smoky and slightly on the bitter end. It has some light woodiness too. It's not that sweet, but is still warm and has the heavy thick winter type of feel to the scent. It has slight similarities to Xerjoff Starlight and PdM Herod with the spiciness in the scent.

Good potential, but underperforms for its value.
Opens as a fresh bergamot with a fresh leafy note as well. Not like a green grass type but more like a basil leaf. It has a more synthetic freshness (slightly kinda like a hairspray synthetic) that is there pretty much throughout the life of the scent.
Later, together with the tonka bean & orris butter, it becomes slightly sweet which kind of resembles a soft vanilla. At this point - about 1-2 hours in - it smells good, but the overall projection of this one is not too strong. The good notes are pretty muted and buried in the scent. After 4-5 hours the scent is pretty much dead and you have to touch your nose to your skin to smell it.
I like the scent in the mids-base stage, but since its performance is low there are plenty other scents I would rather wear instead. Not worth paying the price for this one.

Don't let the opening turn you away
Opens as a lemon/lime centered scent that is very citrus dominant and is a bit sour from lemon note. At first spray it is just a mashup of a bunch of notes trying to find their place. 5 minutes in, the citrus starts to slowly settle. Mandarin appears along with resin notes of frankincense start to cut through. Overall the opening is a lemon citrus and completely different from what the scent becomes 10-15 minutes in.
Once the opening is over this scent starts to become amazing. The smokiness of the frankincense starts to form and later it is a rich oily/buttery resinous scent that is smoky with slight citrus still lurking around. Kind of reminds me of Brioni EDP Intense but with smokeyness and some resin added.

Forest in Siberia
Pine smell right from the get go. Notice the nutmeg alongside the pine. These 2 notes stand out the most.
Can smell multiple leaf scents, like patchouli, rosemary, cypress. Leather is soft and overtaken by the focus on the leaf/tree scents. A spearmint is there too but not vivid or bright like in creed Viking.
It's a darker green scent that has a fresh trees/forest scent that leans earthy. Definitely see how Russian leather fits the title, the scent paints a picture of a forest in Siberia, with logs for a fireplace stacked up near a wood cabin.

Woody scent with some sweetness
Sandalwood opening that has slight sweetness from the black currant. A spicy wood that smells like fresh cut saw dust. Florals are tucked away and add softness to the overall scent. Scent becomes milky and creamy over time.
Overall, it's an oud wood type scent that has a pleasant sweetness alongside the other wood notes.
