Burnt rubber opening, sweet leather drydown
Rimal opens the same way Black Gemstone does: horrific burnt rubber. As stated in my Black Gemstone review, there is no reason at this price point to have to sit through an awful opening, even if the drydown is divine. In this case, it isn't quite, but it isn't bad.
Finally after about half an hour or so, the fruity sweetness of Rimal starts to cut through. The burnt rubber is still there in the background, but now we get a sort of fruity leather. Drydown is woody/musky/sweet. Honestly smells great in the last two-thirds of its lifetime. If it wasn't for the terrible opening, this would be an 8.5 or 9 from me.
Thankfully, the price point here matches the quality of the scent better than the sculpture bottles, as 50ml of Rimal can be found at discounters for under $150. If you can stomach the opening, I'd say it's not a bad deal at that price.
