The feeling of luxury
I was a bit afraid of the jasmine, because I don't like jasmine or tuberose.
BUT the fragrance is definitely not flowery, it is incredibly creamy.
On paper, I found it rather weak, but when tested on the skin, its performance is a little better ....Never close to the skin, but better... For me, it's an "always-on" or "dressed" fragrance that you can wear every day without hesitation
The fragrance smells like a spring vacation in Paris.
Breakfast on a small balcony with ornate railings, on which there are two small chairs and a round table (these are also naturally ornate).
There is warm pastry, some jam and a glass of milk, arranged on a glass tier.

Unexpected love
I chose this fragrance during a sample swap and had hardly any expectations because tea fragrances are not really my cup of tea. What tempted me to choose it as a swap candidate...it's quite simply "the pretty bottle". Yes, unfortunately I'm a colloquial "packaging head! . I don't even know if that word is allowed here. I love perfume and if the packaging is just as pretty, I have to have it. In this case, test it .
Two days later, the exchange mail arrived and the first spray was done, and the fragrance opened with a note of tea. I don't know what red tea is, but I get light black tea vibes. My enthusiasm was still limited and I put it aside. I used to have the "Collection Grands Crus - Assam of India | Berdoues" and it reminded me of it
But less than five minutes later I was amazed, it became slightly citrusy and a sweetness spread. The vanilla blends with the tea note and probably the grapefruit to create a wonderful spectacle.
It didn't take me hours to sniff it here.
And I am still totally happy to have this new treasure in my collection.

The creamy femininity
I'm actually a total gourmand fanatic, but the floral notes in the fragrance wouldn't really appeal to me. But after reading the reviews here, I had to give it a try. I also have to say that I really like the name of the fragrance and the brand.
So I went in search of a sample.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything on parfum at the time and had to look elsewhere. I then found what I was looking for on the official website.
When the fragrance arrived, I had to spray immediately and then it came to me. A great intoxicating fragrance. It was so creamy, so incredibly beautiful. I barely get the bitter orange in the top note, or it's so well combined with the peony in the heart that I can't make them out individually. I'm actually quite happy about that. I'm not a fan of citrus in the top note, unless it's actually a fresh fragrance.
Its tonka bean and vanilla base makes it super creamy and luminous. After a few hours, it becomes softer and skin-deep, but so beautiful.
The longevity on my skin is moderate, 6 hours it is noticeable on my skin.
In fact, it didn't take long and I pressed the 'complete order' button. Now I'm waiting for this little treasure, which has the potential to become an everyday fragrance.

Better, worse or quite similar.
When I ordered a bottling from the well-known GC the year before last, I didn't know
what I was in for. With this fragrance, my sense of smell changed and led to my favorite scent, "the gourmands". And of course, as crazy as I am, I booked myself a trip to Paris. But not to see the city, because I had already visited it in the past, no, to visit all the stores and get my hands on a bottle. As I had previously been in contact with customer service and I had an incredibly nice and obliging contact person, he set everything in motion and phoned all over Paris until he was able to tell me where I could get something.
So now to the fragrances :
GC is a wonderful fragrance, in my opinion hard to describe, a little gingerbread, a little rose, a little tea and a lot of attention to detail.
The only problem I had with GC is that it gives me a headache for a long time (unfortunately I'm a bit sensitive to strong fragrances).
Now I heard in November that a new fragrance was coming, one that would be very similar to GC. I sat on pins and needles at home and checked the homepage every day to see when it would finally arrive.
And then the first statements arrived and made me a little sad, they weren't what I had hoped for. As I had read rather negative things, I saved myself the trouble of ordering. But after a few days I couldn't resist and ordered a bottle.
It's definitely not the same, but it's a great fragrance in its own way. No one will ever be able to forget the original fragrance, but this version is a reminder of the old, irresistible GC.
In fact, it doesn't give me a headache and since I've been looking for a fragrance that smells authentically of gingerbread for a long time, this one is worth considering. On mine it is gingerbread with a twist and the durability as well as projection is very good
