that blew me away
As we all know, taste is always different. With Jean Paul Gaultier, you're usually used to a rather sweet mixture, which is not meant to be negative at all. I've always liked the fragrances, but I still missed that certain something.
It's completely different with Le Beau.
Oh my goodness, this fragrance has hit my taste.
I'll try to explain it in a few sentences:
Basically, a few things come together here that absolutely convince me. You can still smell the Gaultier DNA. However, it has receded into the background and made room for innovation. On my skin, it is a perfect interplay of sweet coconut tonka, a light pineapple and cooling iris-ginger freshness. In the base, of course, the woods. The result is an extremely well-balanced fragrance that offers real depth despite its seemingly simple composition. I can't stop taking a drag from the back of my hand again and again. It is wonderfully perceptible in the air, but its "soft" nature makes it extremely pleasant and bearable. There is also something slightly feminine about the whole composition, which I also find very positive. Like a kind of cream. If I turn on the mental cinema, I would even really like it on a good-looking woman.
The associations I get here are definitely tropical, summer, sun and a very good mood.
Something very good and innovative has been created here.
Perhaps as an aside: I generally like coconut fragrances very much, but in my opinion (I refer to my first sentence), Virgin Island Water can pack a punch against Le Beau.
