If you want a tamed down too sweet floral and add a bit of sharpness this fragrance will do. If you decide to wear it alone you will have a scent but you have to hit it heavy or you get almost nothing. This scent to me needs some synthetic musk or something to give it some depth and volume because it falls flat! I only paid 12.99 but I basically got a slightly scented rubbing alcohol. I will finish the bottle but won't be replacing it. I can't say I was feeling dissapointment but more confused why anyone would give this scent a greenlight from the Jessica Simpson camp.

I purchased Agua Del Sol at TJ Maxx for pennies so I probably shouldn't complain but I will. I am OK with fruity, sweet, and simple but this scent is soooooooo shallow. It plays it so safe that I am not sure it ever was in the game. It comes off as unfinished and lacking confidence. I understand that not everything has to be complex but Escada didn't seem to even try with this. A youthful fruity fragrance should smell eager and revitalizing. This fragrance right here just has acne and a major self-esteem problem. I have owned several Escada fruity fragrances but none of them have ever put me to sleep before. My nose was hoping for some Ibiza Hippie vibes and all it got was a nap.

Full disclosure I am a Tom Ford lover and he pretty much can do no wrong in my eyes (let's just pretend Dr. Pepper I mean Lost Cherry never happened.) People have mentioned that Black Orchid is androgynous or possibly even masculine. This may be true for some but I really think it depends on the amount of femininity the wearer is already embodying. I am boldly feminine so on me Black Orchid is perceived as very womanly and VERY surprising. People won't expect a lady to smell like she just made out with a newly released white collar crime convict while sitting in a cafe after eating a warm vanilla cupcake. But on me this is what Black Orchid smells like and I could love it for that alone.
