Update: New preview feature for perfume collections

Update: New preview feature for perfume collections

When you click on a perfume in the collections, there is now a better preview. It replaces the "big" window and should make it easier to use. A number of other useful features have also been added.

The new preview window
The new preview window
  • The window will now appear below the fragrance
  • You no longer need to confirm the deletion. You can also delete scents more quickly by clicking on the little trash can icon above the bottle.
  • Perfumes can be moved or copied to other collections.
  • Improved loading time

Although it looks simple, this is a fairly complex update with some changes under the hood. If you encounter any problems, please report them here (please include information about which device you have). There will also be some fine-tuning over the next few days.

Have fun collecting and sorting!

I love all the recent updates that have been made! It's a shame that still so many fragrances are bereft of a review or statement, or even a simple classification and rating, but I keep advocating for this site!
I was wondering about something though. Maybe not the best place, but I fear I've made a mess of my Collection.
In "Collection" you can click: I have, I had, tested, decant, miniature. It is the tested thing & the combo of have/ decant that confuses me.
1. If I have/had a bottle, or a decant/ miniature I've obviously also tested it. Should I use tested ONLY for those fragrances I've merely spritzed on in a store or at a friend's? Not when I bought a sample to test? Or a 5ml/10ml mini?
2. Is I Have/ Had only applicable to the full 30-100ml bottles? Or are decants and miniatures al so considered as "haves". What was envisioned when creating the Collection tabs?
I also had a collection & classification suggestion, but see now where to add that. Great!

This conversation is probably best for the Forum, but it's up to the individual how to use Collection categories, I would think.
For me, Have/Had are bottles and travel sprays I have/had. Decants/Miniatures are samples/decants/miniatures I currently have. Tested is anything I've ever tested. Tested can include Have, Had, Decants, and Miniatures. Tested also includes samples/decants I no longer have, fragrances I've tested at home or in store, etc.

The best place for new suggestions (not related to the blog post here) is the forum: https://www.parfumo.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22

One more suggestion that I thought of for the categorizing/rating, of the Accords this time. Could Musk or Musky be added? When I'm rating, neither Creamy nor Powdery capture Musk/Musky. Like Coty Wild Musk or Kiehl's Musk No 1, for instance. Neither are Animalic but they are Musk/Musky.

Please let me know if suggestions should be posted elsewhere and I will do so.
I have a suggestion for the categorizing/rating of fragrances. Instead of Woman/Man/Young/Old, I would suggest Feminine/Masculine/Young/Old. I've noticed some of the decant sites using Feminine/Masculine instead and I quite like it, personally.
Also, would it make sense to add Unisex to the categorizing/rating? Many more fragrances than ever are marketed as unisex and I particularly seek out unisex fragrances myself.
Thank you for all your amazing work! Parfumo is fantastic!

Thank you, all of these features are amazing! I've already used moving, copying, etc. Parfumo's interface is very pleasant and streamlined. I also like all the Collection buckets. I've added to most of those already as well. Very well done!

I just want to say that, as an autistic person, Parfumo is fantastic! Organizing my collection into the different buckets, as well as being able to move or copy fragrances into other buckets, is just incredible. I also greatly appreciate being able to view my collections as a list by ascending brands. That is particularly wonderful from a visual standpoint. The UI is the most versatile and pleasing of any fragrance sites. Thank you!

I found out about it this morning, before reading the article.
Keep up the good work!

It's great and all, but the option to add the of number of bottles owned of said fragrance and the sizes. People are going to have a hard time noticing where it is if isn't above notes not below it.
Consider fixing that.

Thank you for the new features. Any new features are great!
Something that would be good for the forums would be the ability to see which of our comments have been given hearts without having to search them out. This would be good so we can see what kind of comments are most helpful to others. Is it possible when we click the forum options> My Posts, then when scrolling through our comments we can see any comment that has been given a heart without having to go into the actual topic. Another way would be the ability to click on the heart we see under our avatar with the total hearts, and when clicked it takes you to a page showing all the comments that have been hearted. Some sort of overview of hearted comments being separated from non-hearted comments for the quick ability to see them would be awesome. Thank you.
