Roses from Grasse
I bought Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming for my best friend's birthday and of course tested it myself - after all, Dior has secured exclusive fields around Grasse.
Now, this is not my usual type.
About 8 years ago, my husband gifted me a bottle of Miss Dior Chérie.
I think he was drawn in by the cute bottle - he likes my girlish side. This was a bit more pronounced back then than it is today, but hopefully it will never completely fade. And then there's the name Dior, which he associates with quality.
At that time, I was quite taken with it and found Chérie simply delightful for spring. However, my best friend was downright infatuated and would go to the bathroom to spritz it on whenever she visited me. I left her the bottom quarter of the bottle so she could wear the scent on her wedding day (which was already hard to find at that time).
So - I'm digressing. This is about Abs. Blooming.
I sprayed it on casually and first thought ooooh k, children's birthday party?
At first, just sweet-sour fruit: strawberries - but not like in Chérie, where I found the strawberries were supported by sweet popcorn notes, yes sweet strawberries but mixed with raspberries and red currants..? Hmm, very possible. Once it settles a bit, the flowers come out. To be honest, I don't perceive the Damask roses. That doesn’t mean they aren’t there; rather, I think they are, at least for my perception, somewhat overshadowed by the opening. But a nice, natural rose is - always, though slightly in the background, perceptible. The roses are there, but I apparently hold a glass of raspberry soda, and I have to sniff my way through to the flowers. If I hold my nose to the spray point on my arm, I can even imagine how they grew in the sun of southern France... What would one be without imagination.
What remains in the end is a pleasant, bright, and light musk, still subtly covered by floral notes.
For me personally, it's not a candidate for purchase, despite the beautiful bottle that could certainly enrich a nicely arranged collection.
However, I am quite sure that I have a great gift for my best friend... Whether that is the case, I will only see in May (yes, it was a spontaneous purchase :-) - yes and... it won't go bad...).
Oh, and although, as I mentioned, this perfume is not among my preferred "usual suspects," I could definitely imagine wearing it.
On a sunny, moderately warm day. For a trip to an amusement park, perhaps. No, I won't reach for Funfair Evening - that’s just meant to evoke the memory of it :-).
Moreover, it’s not for the evening; Miss demands the brightness of the day.
@Dior: One can always hope. If it were just about me, please less fruit next time, but more patchouli, gladly in abundance. Thank youuu
Thanks for reading & - still hooked from sniffing on my arm - I wish you a lovely sunny day!

Wellness
Oh dear - how do I start :-)
I got to know this fragrance at a presentation for eco-cleaning products. The company (Prowin) offers, in addition to its core business, also products from the wellness sector. Now that I am addicted and the bottle was very affordable (100 ml for about EUR 30.- including a pretty 5 ml travel spray), I ordered it right away. I am thrilled with the scent. At first, it was said to be a dupe of Alien by Mugler. Although the term dupe wasn't used, it was mentioned that it goes in that direction. Personally, I smell a mix of Alien, Loverdose by Diesel (the purple one), and another fragrance that I have known for a long time - but I can't quite place what it is (a "designer scent" anyway that is also rather heavy and sweet and an oriental).
At the beginning, jasmine is almost tangible, and I think I can smell a hint of black rose. I do not perceive any violet. A very light note of spice (I can't specifically define whether it's cardamom or not, but tonka bean definitely makes sense here). However, I must say that this jasmine comes across as very natural. All in all, the fragrance is strong and natural without being overpowering. The sillage is also remarkable at first but fades relatively quickly. Okay, I mean, that's not great for an EdP, b-but since it's really affordable, I just spray more. With a stronger scent, that's not so bad. However, if someone from the product development team is reading this, I would like to make the following suggestion for improvement: longevity & bottle. The bottle could be a bit prettier and more "worthy" of its contents.
For use: This perfume is suitable for going out, but also for work as it becomes close to the body after a relatively short time. Furthermore, it is definitely well-suited for personal well-being, meaning: after bathing to chill on the couch.

Cashmere Blanket
A present yet unobtrusive cloud of sensory delight flows in a light mist
from delicate glass. The harmony that arises directly resembles powdered sugar.
Such light dust, reminiscent of lemon meringue tarts. These cool on a windowsill
of a lakeside house, alongside delicate almond cakes. Cozy impressions akin to the comfort of
otherwise mild summer evenings by the lakeshore. Elegant security - spread by Eau de Shalimar

Happy New Year
Today is my first day back at the office for 2018, and I specifically got this fragrance for it. It may sound a bit strange, but I had planned to open a new scent for the first workday, as a good start and a ray of hope after the vacation ;-) so to speak. I stumbled upon this one while I was last-minute buying wrapping paper at Rossmann. The beautiful packaging alone immediately caught my attention. I couldn't try it in the store since there was no tester, just the last sealed fragrance box. So my plan grew spontaneously, and this fragrance along with 2 others came home with me. The 30 ml bottle cost around 16 euros. The bottle is beautiful, fairy-tale-like, typically Anna Sui. The scent is a true pick-me-up that starts off citrusy fresh. When I arrived at the office about an hour after spraying it on, my colleague immediately remarked that I smelled very good. Thank you - that sounds promising. Sillage is okay (he was behind me, so it was recognizable - especially when passing by - but not projecting or filling the room). I personally perceive it constantly and must say that it is a guaranteed mood booster. It's well-suited for gloomy days, but otherwise, it’s more of a spring and summer fragrance. The longevity is decent to good for an EdT.

Homely Warmth
Used a sample last night after showering. Smelled on me like warm semolina pudding with a hint of vanilla. My husband liked it. Sillage is okay, not overwhelming but noticeable on me. Lasted all evening, becoming more subtle over time and disappearing after a few hours.
