Sweet powdery flower cake
Beautiful fragrance, very nice quality.

The top-heart is a very balanced floral/powdery accord, an elegant mix of orange blossom and violet-lipstick note. It does not fall into being too cosmetic, neither it is too botanical, garden like. Really a very well adjusted smooth mix, it's not easy to find something so well mixed in contemporary perfumery unfortunately.

The base is almond-vanilla, sweet and pleasant, pastry like style mix. Even though it is gourmand, it is not heavy, heady of suffocating. It's light and soft.

The fragrance itself is not very sophisticated, it is not a complicated composition. Nevertheless it is of a really good quality. It would make a really great gift to some perfumery lover because it is universal and easy to wear, generally pleasant. The price is exaggerated though.

Deep and dense tropical flower
The main note of it is tuberose. It's a very carnal and fleshy flower, heavy and heady. This fragrance is a great interpretation, a unique fantasy about tuberose.

It has a quite neutral sandal-vetiver base, well blended, but not innovative in any way. The heart though is an intense tuberose note with some secondary flowery background. It's very carnal, almost dirty, lactonic, very sensual. It gives the images of the tropical flower center, full of fragrant creamy pollen.

Lactonic part of tuberose gives a humid, natural greenhouse vibe, a deep jungle vibe, but no fruit in here. Usually when you hear 'tropical' you imagine fruit at the first place, but fresh fruit notes often give perfumes some childish, unserious mood. This one has none and so it's very adult and sensual. It's also unconventional.

This is a great old school perfume. A must for tuberose lovers.

Pretty, understandably popular
I bought it by accident. I don't like Francis Kurkdjian, I never tried BR540, I knew it was a dupe, so I've just tried it once in a rush and forgot about it. Then I saw a 30ml bottle on sale for 2 euro and I bought it...

I can see why people love it, it smells like sugar and spice. It's sweet, but not childishly fruity sweet and not baker store vanilla sweet. It's dry and sharp. Amber, saffron are two base ingredients, they are very dry o their own, almost masculine spicy, with a burnt woody undertone. They make a base for a praline candy note, and create a nice contrast to it. In the end you have a sexy candy perfume, which is also very mature and dramatic thank to it's base. It's a confusing combo, very intriguing.

I also feel the strange medical note some mentioned here, but it lasts for 20 minutes, so no problem.

Still never tried BR540, still think FK is overrated, overhyped and overpriced, but this perfume is very nice. I also understand that it's very popular, but I think having a bottle and putting it on when everyone will forget about it in some years worth 25 euro that Zara is asking for it. I may buy a big bottle in the future just to have it and wear it in 2027 haha

Perplexed with the top, in love with the base
Can't make up my mind about this. Every time I spray it I think 'why do I still have it? I have to sell it!' and then when the top notes fade away I remember why and want to wear it every day.

The top notes are straightforward greenish lemon zest, very masculine, bold, too strong for my taste, too naturalistic, I can't feel anything but in-your-face lemon. Also the cardamom that I don't really like not bringing a lot of enthusiasm to me. It's not bad, it's just totally not my thing.

But after an hour it becomes the most sophisticated vanilla scent. It's is creamy, yet not too gourmand. It is greenish, yet not harsh. It is deep, yet not heavy. It resembles the scent of a good italian artisanal vanilla gelato, made of real cream and real vanilla sticks. It would be my favourite vanilla, if not for the lemony beginning. I still sense the cardamom, but it is very weak, just a touch of saltiness playing a role in the icecreamish feel.

I love it, it is very good. More so if you don't mind strong lemon.

Warm wet jammy tabacco
This was the first Zara fragrance I bought after reading reviews and I was surprised how good it was and started trying Zara fragrances. After 15 other Zara bottles in 4 years I owe it a review myself.

The composition is simple and straightforward. It is wet pipe tobacco with some vanilla and berry jam. Some people say they don't smell tobacco here at all because they imagine the cigarette tobacco, or burned tobacco, but this one resembles the kind you put in a pipe, totally different, very wet, that has totally different smell. As well as I understood the formula was changed around 2018/19, I have a newer one, bought in 2020. I don't smell honey in it, instead I smell some berry jam, sweet and a little bit acidic and crispy note, which I like a lot because it adds some freshness and contrast. The vanilla here is a boozy, cloying and very sweet.

In the end the composition is very balanced, it is cozy and rich vanilla base, that has this masculine touch of tobacco and some fruity crispiness. It is simple, but very pleasant, completely unisex. The longevity is medium, I don't have it disappear after 15 minutes as some people say, but neither it lasts too long on the skin.
