Saffron Chocolate Rose
Even if I might be the first person to use this word, it best describes this fragrance in my eyes.

Noir de Noir is a dark rose-oud scent that starts off correspondingly gloomy.
I must say right away that I am not the biggest rose-oud fan (except for Oud Satin Mood Extrait).

The dark fragrance immediately opens with pitch-black roses and a hint of saffron. After the first sprays, it is quite opulent, almost overwhelming.
The earthy patchouli pairs very well with the roses and noticeably joins in after about 20 minutes. Additionally, a gentle, sweet vanilla is constantly trying to push forward and come to the forefront. The blend of the mentioned fragrance components and the black truffle creates, in my opinion, the scent of dark chocolate. Simply delicious!

I probably need to elaborate further on the sillage and longevity. The fragrance alone drew my attention due to its name, which translates to "Darkness of Darkness." I absolutely wanted to test it, so I ordered a sample.

Test No. 1: I smelled the spray head and couldn't believe it. "Wow! What are you?" I was thrilled by the fragrance composition and wanted to embrace it wholeheartedly. If it weren't for that damn longevity... After about 2 hours, despite generous sprays, the scent was gone. No one I asked could perceive it anymore. I was incredibly disappointed and gifted the rest of the sample to a colleague. I wanted nothing more to do with Noir de Noir.

A full 2 months later, after Oud Fleur was also dismissed due to a test and lack of longevity, Noir de Noir is now in my cabinet. So what happened?
In my nose, Oud Fleur and Noir de Noir really smell similar. Oud Fleur simply lacks the sweetness of vanilla and the spice of truffle and saffron.

Test No. 2: I had flashbacks from the first attempt and didn't dare to apply the fragrance, as I already knew how it would end.
Bravely, still with a broken heart from last time, I sprayed it on. The scent was indescribably beautiful again, and I was raving once more. "Stop it, you won't smell it in an hour anyway," my subconscious said. The new sample lasted a whole 4 hours, and even though that is really weak for a Tom Ford in this price segment, the addiction kicked in.

With my bottle, I can achieve about the same sillage and longevity as with the second sample. So how this high rating for both points comes about is a mystery to me. 8.7 for longevity and 8.1 for sillage. In my dreams at most!

Thank you for reading & if I have piqued your interest: Definitely test it if you are looking for a cozy perfume!

Pure Summer
I associate Soleil Blanc with the Caribbean, islands that lie in the middle of nowhere but are still beautiful.

The scent:
The white color of the bottle is definitely a very well-chosen color. What I can't understand is why there is no mention of coconut in the fragrance notes. For me, there is a good portion of it present. According to other comments, it seems that the Seychelles palm is responsible for giving it that coconutty touch.

The fragrance contains only flowers in the heart note, yet I find it quite wearable for both men and women.

The sillage and longevity of this scent are absolutely within the range for a summer fragrance. However, I would prefer it to have a bit more power and to project for a few hours longer.

A little tip from me, if Soleil Blanc is still too feminine: layered with Tuscan Leather, it becomes a bit more masculine.

Irresistible
Kulfi is a traditional Indian dessert made from pistachios, saffron, cardamom, ice & almonds.
Unfortunately, I have not yet had the pleasure of trying this sweet dish, but every time I smell Noir Extreme, I crave it more and more.
It is an incredibly wonderful, harmonious, and long-lasting gourmand fragrance composition that I have never smelled before.
Sillage & longevity are very convincing, and the price makes this scent even more attractive.

A fantastic release from 2015!
