Elegance made into perfume

If you want elegance in a perfume, this is the one you absolutely must have in your collection. If I had to choose a perfume for a special occasion with special people, I would definitely choose this one. Beautiful for a classy, elegant and career woman. One of the most beautiful floral perfumes from ALD. It takes you back to the beautiful old times where everything seemed more beautiful and glamorous. And what about the bottle: it's beautiful!

Grandma's gardenia - wow

The bottle - some people like it, some people don't. I don't mind, it has its charm. But briefly about the perfume - for me - the perfume doesn't transform much, but the base is powerful, gardenia - yes it's there - the rest plays second fiddle. It's an old school perfume, it's a perfume that reminds you of times long gone - but it's also a perfume that says - I am quality, I am not full of chemicals, I am not synthetic. You can't miss this perfume, it's an olfactory experience like most perfumes by a guy who calls himself Russian Adam and lives in a completely different place and can create perfumes with ingredients that others can't because it wouldn't be profitable or the ingredients are so few that it's not possible for mass production. To know ALD is to know perfumes that come from the living world.

Hypnotic and Ever-Changing Elegance

Grandenia is, without a doubt, one of my favorite Areej Le Doré creations. Every time I wear it, it feels like a different fragrance, revealing new facets with each experience. A vintage chypre? I’m not sure, but it has a uniquely seductive aura.
The bright opening of lemon and bergamot lasts only for a moment before the frankincense absolute wraps everything in a deep, mysterious haze. Then comes the gardenia—creamy, opulent, yet never overly sweet—intertwined with nutmeg, cinnamon, and an unexpected hint of rosemary, adding freshness and contrast.
The base is pure magic: Thai and Indonesian oud meld seamlessly with black ambergris, which adds depth and a subtle animalic touch. Patchouli, sandalwood, and myrrh create a warm, enveloping foundation, while saffron brings a refined spicy nuance. The fossilized amber gives it an ancient, almost mystical charm.
A fragrance that is ever-changing, magnetic, and effortlessly elegant. No matter how many times I wear Grandenia, it always has something new to reveal.

Starchy green floral

Grandenia suggests that it might be going big on the famously creamy, mushroomy lushness of gardenia, but this is not the case. Rather, this is a tightly-wound, stiffly-starched green floral that starts out at the data point of a citrusy-piney frankincense – a resin that here smells like a freshly-stripped piece of Silver Birch – and winds up in Chandrika soap territory.

I find this pinched, freshly-scrubbed sort of floral a chore to wear, but it may appeal to people who like Antonia by Puredistance. I also want to acknowledge that this would be a good white floral for men, as it is completely devoid of the soft, candied creaminess and tinned-fruit syrupiness of most white florals. It is clipped and pure; the sort of thing to stiffen the spine. A very good wood accord develops in the base that smells more like sandalwood soap than oud or sandalwood per se. And then, finally, in the last gasps – a ghostly imprint of gardenia, with that slightly glassy, freshly-cut-mushroom quality it shares with myrrh.

A Classic French stlye perfume

Grandenia,the first 1-2minutes i get a cleaner kinda smell but if you let that sit for a few more minutes,These beautiful citrusy,lemony smell appers.One of my favourite summer perfume from the brand.

Even if you didnt like the opening just wait 1-2 hours then smell it again this perfume changes time to time.A little sweetness comes with a creamy vibe to it.

However,the drydown it gets to thai and indonesian oudy smell with the black ambergris.So a woody-sweet kinda animalic.I absolutelly love Grandenia,don't know if
it is a full bottle worthy but worth sampling.Again I love Russian Adam work,if you are able to try it please do it.
