One of My Favorites
So I love this one and it deserves a comment. It has been one of my favorites for years, and especially in summer, it envelops me with its fresh and pleasant aura. At the time of purchase, the unisex character was particularly emphasized, and I thought it was great in my then-world of "fragrance ignorance" that there are perfumes that can be worn by both men and women. Today, thanks to Parfumo, I know much more about it. I also think this scent was the reason for my preference for neroli fragrances. And unlike the loud counterparts from Mugler, this one is really rather quiet but still always beautifully present. I would rate the longevity of MC as good.

It starts fresh with bergamot and neroli, and relatively quickly, the white musk joins in, taking the reins from the two but allowing them to continue riding along. It is probably also the one that gives the fragrance the clean but also somewhat soapy character that has been described here before. By no means unpleasant - on the contrary, to me, it all smells very well-groomed.

The availability of MC is very good, practically found everywhere, so for those who don't know it yet, nothing stands in the way of a test ;-)

Tons of Cherries
Bogart pour Homme piqued my curiosity with its positive feedback and especially with the repeatedly mentioned "cherry tobacco" note. In my early youth, I occasionally bought a tobacco pouch secretly and found that smelling it was far more enjoyable than actually smoking it, using a corn cob pipe that was affordable for the time. Not to mention the coughing fits and the burning on the tongue.
Anyway, I was able to acquire this fragrance for a small amount of money, and quickly my resolutions regarding blind buys went out the window. I really need to work on that :-) , because for me, this scent is an unbearable misstep.

It all begins and ends with an incredibly sweet and heavy cherry note, almost as if tons of maraschino cherries have been dumped in front of me. Generally, I do like the scent of cherries, but this is just too much for me, as loud as it is. There’s no trace of the tobacco note, which isn’t listed in the pyramid anyway. The progression is linear, and only towards the end does the cherry recede a bit, becoming a little spicier and more vanilla-like. The presence of BpH is extreme and very loud, and when it comes to longevity, there’s nothing to complain about. In my view, however, it’s not suitable for the office.

You Know What? Wrap it up for me now ...
It starts, as I have read so many times before, with just a quick peek. Really quick. It doesn't take long at all. And it's on the way. In this case, it was Beck in Munich, as Andi136 made me curious about whether there might still be something decent on the bargain table inviting a spontaneous purchase.
Unfortunately, it was already quite sorted out, and a lady from the store seemed to have noticed my disappointed look, approached me, and I went along with it. Okay, since I'm already here, I might as well take one or two to test intensively on my wrist - at least that’s what I thought.
After some suggestions, we ended up at the Byredo shelf. Hmmm, I had never heard of this manufacturer before. First, I tested Baudelaire, which I liked very much, and then Fantastic Man, which, on the other hand, offered me too little newness. Then she held a strip of Oud Immortel under my nose, and I immediately knew that I had to have it. Shortly thereafter, I left the store as a proud owner of a 50ml bottle, and the really nice and knowledgeable saleswoman also packed me plenty of samples.

Now to the scent itself. After spraying, Oud Immortel starts off very intensely. The oud is immediately present, but so is the incense, which shapes the scent experience from second one to the end but does not really dominate. But what fascinates me the most is this extremely fruity note, not cloyingly sweet fruits, but also nothing citrusy, that unfolds here. I have never smelled anything like this before. The pyramid mentions Lemoncello, and perhaps that is what smells so delicious here. These components are beautifully held together throughout the entire scent journey by the patchouli. However, it doesn't really undergo any significant change over time. I can't detect the other mentioned components. I guess I still need some time to filter out the subtly present notes. All in all, it's truly a very delicious scent for me, and I can gladly give it a 100. The longevity on me is out of this world. By the way, it’s also a very beautiful round bottle, with a cap that is fixed to the bottle by a magnetic system. Classy.

Well, I am thrilled, and now excuse me - I’m going to go smell around again :-)
