Another Sandalwood Scent? Yes, but from Trumper!
Normally, I avoid fragrances that are called sandalwood. They are as common as sand on the beach, and none of them have particularly stood out. They were all quite nice, but once you know one of them, you know them all. However, GFT offers a different experience. Not a run-of-the-mill scent, but a wonderful composition. Sandalwood with beautiful floral and citrus notes. Creamy, light, and fresh, yet also wonderfully warm with a slight spiciness that is hard to define but always present. Elegant, pure, and always appropriate, this fragrance.

Old Spice - How It Once Was
Who doesn't know it? The white bottle with red lettering. You can find it in almost every drugstore, filled with a scent from a bygone era. Unfortunately, it's quite faded, thin, and lacks power. However, it costs next to nothing, and you at least get an impression of how "man" used to smell. For me, this aftershave has never really been an option. The version from P&G is a shadow of what Shulton offered. But since you have to pay several times the former price for the "old" version, which I am not willing to pay, even though I was lucky enough to test it once, I set out to find a good dupe. I tested a few, but after trying the "Cold Spices" from PAA, this rather short journey came to an end :-)
In my opinion, it is the best homage to the old classic. The scent is very well captured and neither weak nor has miserable longevity. You had to experience at least one of those three deaths when trying the different dupes. The scent of Old Spice or this inspired fragrance is a blend of spicy masculinity and soft sweetness with floral notes. The opening is spicy with, among other things, a not too strong clove and fruity orange. As it develops, it becomes more floral, but vanilla also comes into play. Combined with clove and orange, it has a slight "Bay Rum" and "Christmas feeling" without labeling the scent as such, as it remains solely a feeling. With a light (Christmas) smoke and wood, the fragrance complements itself, resulting in a spicy blend with slight notes of fruit, sweetness, flowers, and wood. Very nice! Care or post-shave feeling is also top-notch. The only thing that bothers me is the included menthol. It cools the skin, which I find a bit inappropriate for warmer scents, and makes this product feel too fresh at the beginning. That really wasn't necessary. However, it is a great scent for autumn, winter, and the beginning of spring. I wouldn't use it in high temperatures.

The Tailor of Old Bond Street
I had not tried a single fragrance from them until now, even though I have been wet shaving for quite some time. At least, I cannot remember any scent. A big mistake, as it turned out today. Such traditional houses should always be given a chance; after all, they have been around for a long time, and if they were truly bad, they would probably have disappeared from the market long ago. "Mr. Taylor" made me doubt a little at first. After receiving it, I briefly sniffed the opened bottle but smelled almost nothing. However, after shaving today, I was genuinely impressed. A very fine and classic scent, worthy of a gentleman. Fresh and green at the beginning, it develops into a woodier and powdery fragrance with a few floral accents and a lovely mossy note. The freshness fades, but the green remains. But it's not just the scent that is great; the skincare is excellent too. Silky soft powdered skin. A wonderful little water that will surely be complemented by more fragrances from this brand soon.

First feminine then unisex
The fragrance starts sweet, fresh, oriental, soft, and above all very feminine. After a short time, pleasant floral notes emerge and it becomes noticeably spicier than at the beginning. The scent that originally seemed to me to be for women is also perfectly suited for the man of the world. The rose is wonderfully blended and adds a great extra, especially for men, even though I usually find rose rather challenging.

Spring Scent in January
The aftershave initially comes across as very fougère-like and fresh. The green resinous notes and earthiness only reveal themselves after a few minutes, but everything blends into a pleasant fragrance, and the care this water provides leaves a wonderful post-shave feeling. Spring can thus arrive.
