Black as the Night!
This scent has been accompanying me for a long time.

I often find myself at techno parties through my side job, where predominantly black is worn.

While techno represents tolerance, openness, and harmony in our circles, there is also a scene that embodies these principles but spends the nights with very dark music in very dark rooms.
The atmosphere becomes ecstatic, even hedonistic.
Sometimes it seems like pure anarchy is in order.

For this kind of night, I searched for a suitable scent for a long time... and found it.

Encre Noire perfectly matches my vision when I try to describe this mood in a fragrance.
I have similar associations to many previous reviewers who lean towards "graveyard," "crypt," "vampire," and "church," and I see the connection that arises for me.

The scent:
...absolutely goes in a sacred direction for me and also evokes memories of myrrh and incense, both of which are not found in the fragrance pyramid.

After spraying, a cold musk and damp, stale wood unfold.
Immediately, I envision a mysterious vaulted cellar.
Encre Noir does not really develop further for my nose, but smells the same until the end as it did at the beginning.
On clothes, the ink lasts forever, so you can enjoy it for a long time.
On my skin, it lasts all day/all night!

However, to be noticed by others, I need about 5-8 sprays.
I have also tested this with my friends (... the poor souls always have to endure my scent tests).

Conclusion:

The scent has an absolutely dark aura and is available for a small price. Anyone interested in herbal, mysterious fragrances should definitely give this a try.

P.S.
While writing, I realized that this is probably my current signature scent.

At half past 4 in the morning in Munich...
Recently, while I was in Milan at an upscale department store inspecting the wonderful perfumery, I stumbled upon a Kilian stand for the first time in my life.

Immediately, a story came to my mind that I experienced about 2 years ago in a techno club in Munich:

So I approached the lady representing Kilian and told her about my encounter with a guy, right in the middle of the packed dance floor, among naked, sweaty bodies, fog, smoke, a lot of scene-typical substances, and plenty of alcohol.

At that time and in that state, one is rarely interested in anything other than following the beats of the currently playing DJ.

Nevertheless ... just at that moment, a guy pushes his way through the hedonistic crowd.
He is still heavily dressed and wearing a coat, as he has obviously just entered the club from the cold of the night.
My nose catches the scent, and I try to filter out from which direction it is coming.
When I spot the guy, I grab him by the coat in the midst of the noise and try to articulate my question somehow...
What exactly I stammered, I can't really remember. But he grins at me and simply says "Kilian" before disappearing into the crowd.

The saleswoman laughs and says: Well, we have quite a challenge here.
Through a rough description, we test 5 fragrances, and with number 5, my eyes widen because I have a direct flashback to the situation I experienced in Munich...
As if it happened yesterday!
The saleswoman immediately understands and smiles at me in agreement.

The blend of musk, oud, patchouli, incense, but also fresher notes makes this fragrance unique and super interesting.

It smells noble, but not pretentious.
Masculine, but not The Rock-level masculine.
Mysterious, but not cemetery-like.
Sweet, but not like cotton candy at the fair.

For me, a brilliant fragrance!

No idea if this fits the purpose of a comment, but I wanted to share the story! :)
