An Oustanding Understanding
... that's how I connect Hind Al Oud's reference to perfume art. By chance, or rather by Can777, I came into the pleasure of a sample of this extraordinary Arabian and when he offered me the bottle, I could not say "no". Hind Al Oud fragrances are almost nowhere to get in Europe. So much for that.

When first spraying on immediately screamed at me the bloominess, as I have not known it before, which is also to infer from one or the other comment. This fragrance you have to get to know and not immediately throw the shotgun or the saber in the grain. This yelling lingers for a while and becomes softer than one might suspect, but still remains present and the oakmoss (my upstart in fragrance notes) takes up its work, with the oud also coming out more. As described in my statement earlier, there's no cowlick or manure coming through here, though there's no denying a slight animalic note. This combination of concise florality and oud may not please everyone, which unfortunately can be seen in the rating, but also testifies to a willingness to experiment on the part of HAO.

After many hours (durability easily > 10 hours) actually only the flowers have the say, the oud moves slightly into the background and the musk drives his mischief, which does not bother me personally. I see the strengths of Barari in late spring, when the first rays of sunshine hit us, but also in the summer, if it's not exactly around 40 degrees.

My conclusion on this is that what Hind Al Oud touches, hands down, is not for the general public - which could be argued with this fragrance - and is/are for those who seek the extraordinary. As already mentioned, you have to get to know the fragrance!

THANKS

An Attar of the extraordinary league
After more than 1 1/2 years without comment, I decided to write one to this extraordinary upstart. First of all, I did not test the origin, i.e. the Extrait, before.

When the bag was opened, the small flacon came out. Black as night, only a small area of the transparent bottle shimmers. It's not my first Attar, but it's still an experience, because it's different from removing the cap from a bottle, because a melange of dark impressions, the deep oud combination, immediately spreads. It doesn't "stink" at all, it rather exudes its power, whereby the luwak plays its role and this over many hours. I always love it when the scent meets my olfactory synapses. It has such a calming or soothing aura. I currently wear it daily!

The other scents are a little subordinate, but also appear very late and make the fragrance even rounder. If you're afraid of the various oud notes - I can't distinguish them at all - I can only recommend to test this great creation. But now the "BUT" > unfortunately no longer available.

The performance is very moderate and lasts for many hours and shows up very well in both warm and cool conditions. Usually Attars are used in countries in warm or hot weather! So why not with us!?

Conclusion: If you like the smell of coffee, you will love this one. Russian Adam is a little masterpiece, which will definitely stay in my collection. I am happy!

Expect the unexpected...
... this advertising slogan of a shopping center in the pot, fits very well to this extraordinary fragrance. First "Thanks" again to Yatagan, without whom I would not have come to this fragrance!

The more often I put on this fragrance, the deeper the friendship becomes. Especially now on the cool days wonderfully wearable, what is owed to this beautiful mossy resinous melange, which is very beautifully perceptible over the whole course, without that one becomes too much, as I was allowed to experience it with other brands. The assumption suggests itself that the narcissus downsized the fragrance a touch, which I personally like very much! A big fragrance course may not be expected, which one can easily forgive the fragrance however!

Actually, I am also a friend of an extended Sillage, which comes across as moderate here. In this case I enjoy the fragrance in my quiet room ;-)

It may be noted that Christophe Laudamiel's scents are already extraordinary, which brings us back to the beginning of my commentary.

The sources of supply are quite sparse. Apart from New York, the fragrances are only available in Amsterdam and Berlin, where I bought a bottle from Breathe Cosmetics. In this context I also had the pleasure to test other zoos.

Conclusion: Don't wait for the unexpected, try the unexpected ;-)

The scent of Dubai...
.... . . .this is the best way to visualize the extraordinary scent. Close your eyes and imagine a walk through Old Dubai along the Dubai Creek, watching the hustle and bustle of the merchants on and around the ships/boats, and ending at the Dubai Spice Souk in Al Ras. During this walk you will absorb so many olfactory delights, which are reflected by this great scent. The heat favors the impression.

Majalis is a fragrance that one would classify somewhat differently due to the many different scents a la Couleur. The first spray, "Boom" full of spices, which have completely taken over the first time. I personally like this phase very much, because nothing seems overloaded and leaves no itching in the nose, as it can be the case with some spices. In the course of time, different scents appear again and again, which are difficult to determine, as they virtually only stop over for a short time and then move on again.

I have been able to test some spicy oriental scents so far and I like this impact, but such an outstanding and extraordinary scent has never been under my nose before.

As far as durability and sillage are concerned, this should be in the upper range. I personally find the bottle very beautiful, which is not the case with the price; € 535 for 50ml and € 705 for 100ml.

It remains to be said that the First Generation with its 7 fragrances offers a wonderful journey through the Arab Emirates. The available Discovery Set is particularly suitable for testing purposes.
