Even though he was discontinued, I wanted to meet him. I tested it in spring / summer (i.e. as intended).

What can I say? Well, it is a scent without character and totally boring. It's hard to find anything interesting in it. Oh, monotonous citrus, the "quality" of which is, at best, average.
He is indifferent to his surroundings. Durability below average (which, paradoxically, may be its advantage ...)

If this is what the "flagship" of the John Varvatos brand looked like, it is not surprising to me that it is no longer with us.

Whenever I looked at reviews about different fragrances, there were times when I came across the term "grandfather's smell". I was wondering what this "old man" is. Does this verbal construction refer to the perfumes from the past decades and mean nothing more than the date of its creation, or does it direct towards what can be expected from the composition? After getting to know Zino thoroughly, I have the answer. Yes, this is the quintessence of "grandpa" - that's exactly what old people smell like.

Zino rejected me, I can't imagine a guy before 70yo "smelling" that way. I will say more, the girl whom I recommended Davidoff to "for evaluation" several times, each time grimaced with a grimace on her face. If, dear reader, you would like to verify my words, buy a decant first or go to a perfumery, then buy a bottle. Never in reverse.

I didn't get to know the 2016 version because it has been discontinued. The 2018 version is a total synthetics (in this bad sense). It is floral here, I would even say feminine (although I honestly admit that for a girl it "smells male"). Incredibly annoying smell - it caused a headache as soon as it reached the nose.

I strongly advise against, and certainly in the form of blind-buy.
