the well-groomed neat freak, always ready
Fragrance progression:
opens extremely pleasantly with slightly spicy pepper, neroli, and of course the main player iris throughout the entire scent. A fragrance that changes little over its duration on the skin and beautifully woody with a soft base then fades away.
Longevity:
for this type of composition, it really holds well. I get through the workday reasonably and can then, depending on my mood, apply something else in the evening or not, as it is very close to the skin but still lasts a long time. Solid 7-8
Sillage:
as expected, rather low. However, that is what it is made for, and a monstrous sillage is simply not desired and also not feasible due to its character. Rather low 6 with a tendency towards 7.
Bottle:
unassuming but valuable, fits perfectly with the fragrance. The weight of the bottle with its grip and the quite high-quality cap are absolutely appropriate for the price, even above average in the designer shelf. Thus, a solid 7 with a tendency towards 8.
Price/performance:
good to very good. Most designers nowadays shout at you, either with their synthetics or with the loud bottle in the most bizarre shapes, or often both. Prada L'Homme takes its own path here and is worth every euro it costs. And that is not extremely much, but of course not cheap either. Thus also a solid 8.
to compare with/reminds me of:
fresh laundry. I hardly know any fragrances that achieve this so well. Yes, there are some that try to score with their powderiness, Orange Flamingo and Luna Rossa Black come to mind immediately, which also reasonably embody this fresh, well-groomed image. However, they often get lost in a twist, too much fruit or sweetness, while this one stays true to its character straight, when you can't or don't want to risk anything in business.
suitable for:
of course mainly for men, but I wouldn't know why a lady couldn't wear this in the office, meeting, etc.
Seasons/temperature:
I see it in every season, it actually works all the time, also almost completely temperature-independent. In the hottest summer, it might be a bit too floral for me, but otherwise, one is equipped for everything.
Conclusion: the legend of the "clean" iris fragrances. Together with its dark brother, they form a sensational duo, depending on the occasion and season. I cannot recommend the diluted flankers Splash or L'Eau, though.
Belongs in almost every collection of a "parfumos of today" due to its reasonable price.
