One perfect scent out of a sea of many fragrances
This fragrance was introduced in 1955 and I've worn it religiously since the early 1980's. It is simple, deeply green and the epitome of masculinity. Of the hundred or so designer & niche brand scents I own, Pino is, and will always be, my default.

Although I think I have a nose for detecting fragrance notes, I don't sense more from Pino Silvestre than the most delicious, natural aroma of pine except maybe a hint of juniper berries on the high note. It is perfection in a bottle. On certain men, it is intoxicating. While I wear it all year, it may be at its most magical in the cooler weather.

It's a lighter scent and find I need to reapply every 6 hours. This isn't a problem because applying Pino Silvestre is a joy to the senses. At less than $15 a bottle, you have nothing to lose in trying this classic, elegant scent. The bottle design is a classic too. I have noticed a redesign recently, forgoing the pine cone shaped sprayer head in favor of a simpler nozzle and I'm not mad about it. The new design results in a much less messy spray. I've purchased countless bottles over the years and have never notices any marked difference with the supposed reformulations. The base is always the same.

Please, if you are looking for the perfect men's fragrance and would like something simple, elegant and natural smelling, please try Pino Silvestre. It deserves more recognition.
